These are beautiful Norwegian cabins that are over 150 years old. It honestly feels like stepping into history. One of the people in my party stated that he got the best sleep during his vacation while he in the cabin. It was a great "camping" experience. The cabin overlooks a wonderful lakeside view. It truly is gorgeous. Because you are in the woods, everything is quiet and serene. The staff was also very accommodating. We had a later-than-usual arrival, and they called ahead to make sure we were on our way and that everything was going smoothly. Because of the facilities, they stuck around to make sure we got to our cabin just fine and showed us around, even though it was very late!

We stayed there for 5 nights and it's a good apartment to stay in. It's full of necessary facilities and a very convenient bonus of washing machine. It's quite spacious. The location was quite convenient for us as we came by car and we've chosen this location due to it being in between two major areas we wanted to visit. The host was kind to meet us and show the apartment and the location of keys. Over all a comfortable and convenient place for a longer stay (except the bunk bed)

the hotel is excellent and highly recommended! our two rooms were clean and comfortable. the mosquito nets on the windows turned out to be life-savers. one of the rooms had a river view which is stunning and roars you to sleep. and the chef should be very proud of the restaurant! but the best feature is the staff, charmingly young, yet efficient, professional and very helpful. the bookings.com had failed to send our reservation through to the hotel, but the manager, bob, sorted it out, even giving us the original price despite the price of the day being much higher due to the peek of the tourist season. he upgraded one of our rooms too! and all that very politely and friendly! thank you to everyone who works at the pollfoss!

We have been to quite a few cabins by now, but this was my favorite. The cabin has a warm, peacefull and simpleness sensation. It eas unlike anything I have never seen. We loved it!
