My husband and I found the Walaker (and the village of Solvorn) to be a really special place. We had perfect weather for swimming at the beach, hiking up Molden for fjord views, and enjoying a glass of champagne in the hotel garden. Staff and food were excellent. The historic room had tons of charm. We only stayed one night but I could see spending a week to enjoy daily hikes, afternoon swims, and relaxing with a good book -- it's such a lovely, restful place!

Villa Solvorn is a cozy bed and breakfast. The entire home, inside and out were decorated with love. Oscar and his wife are kind and considerate owners . Vanessa was a wonderful host , always greeting us with a smile. Our large first floor room was beautiful with a private entrance. We felt like it was our little "home" .

Absolutely stunning period property and the oldest known hotel in Norway. There are antique and vintage marvels to discover in every nook and cranny of this place. The welcome is warm and homely, the evening meal consisted of wonderfully honest and simple Norwegian dishes, made with love and care according to family recipes. The rooms were quiet and the bed super comfortable. The new owner took the place over only a few months ago and I would urge anyone considering this hotel to ignore all online reviews of the place dating back to beyond the past year. This is a real gem. I’d love to come back.

The facility occupys quite a large space right beside the lake with lots of activities provided. Our room has a great view of the lake. Room is very new and modern, bed is comfortable I had very nice sleep. Breakfast is quite good as well, and starts early.

We were staying in the family room. It was actually 2 connecting rooms. So, we had 2 bathrooms!! Nice and clean room. Grocery is just opposite the hotel. Staffs are super nice. Just 30 minutes drive to the Nigardsbeen Glacier.

It is a very small place but ideal to visit Urnes stavechurch, a total must and very easy to reach with the ferry which connects Solvorn with the opposite side of the Lustrafjord (actually part of the Sogneford).

The property is a gem nestled on the village of Solvorn. It was walking distance to the fjord beach, two eateries and the Urnes ferry boat (for pedestrians and cars) on the way to visit the UNESCO stave church. The garden is beautiful, roses the size of my hand! Breakfast was also very filling and loved the various options. Wish I could share more pictures! Our hosts were welcoming.

Solvorn is a lovely place and the Villa Solvorn was in a great location, especially as we came by public transport. Breakfast was freshly prepared for us by a lovely French woman. Everything was very clean. Only one other couple staying when we were there and they were lovely too.

Extremely charming hotel full of history in a beautiful and quiet Fjord. Straight from a postcard! Has been led by the same family for 300 years, amazing hosts. Breakfast is one of the best i’ve ever had! Such a memorable stay!
