The location was exceptional, the rorbu cabin was well situated right by the water on a little secondary harbour. The site was very peaceful and ideal for resting, after a long day sightseeing. The staff was welcoming and very helpful with booking a table at the restaurant’s diner buffet, which is handy if you are only there for one or two nights.

Hattvika Lodge has done an excellent job with the photos here on booking.com and in their social media https://www.instagram.com/hattvikalodge/. So yes, it is indeed as amazing as it looks!! I ll write here what you maybe do not see in the photos, which is how friendly and accommodating the staff is!!! The Slovakian girl we were welcomed by when we checked in (unfortunately I dont remember her name) was so friendly and helpful actively showing us e.g. apps with northern lights radar etc. And then during breakfast we were approached by Roland who is organising the outdoor activities. We thoroughly enjoyed the conversation with him and learnt a lot about the place and habits. He gave us tips about where to drive, what to see etc. I full regret not having booked a kayak tour or something but for sure we will do so next time. We will come back to Lofoten both in winter and in the summer and we will look no further for our accomodation that Hattvike Lodge.

We stayed for one night. Valentina and Danny were very welcoming and gave us plenty of great tips about hiking and the best spots to see the Northern Lights nearby. We’re sure we’ll keep a lovely memory of them. The place is quiet and peaceful, perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the silent nature of the Lofoten Islands. The location is also very convenient, just a few minutes’ drive from Leknes airport. We really appreciated Valentina’s homemade cookies!

We had a very nice welcoming from the owner. The house is indeed very cozy, a mix from Grandma's House (but only the good stuff) and a bit of modern stuff from IKEA which creates a comfortable and kind of familiar retro feeling. If we are ever close to leknes again, we probably coming back there. Best wishes to the owner!
