I can’t fault a thing! Would happily stay again, and recommend to friends Accommodation is extremely spacious! We had a great view of the mountains from the room, and great location for driving up to Trolltunga in the morning. Bathroom and kitchen well spaced out and provisioned, with on site parking. Possibility to charge an electric car for an additional fee.

We went from Bergen to Odda on Saturday and spent one night at the hostel. We went for the hiking on Sunday early morning and back to Bergen at the afternoon. The small town is really cosy and beautiful.

Tyssedal and Odda are both industrial towns.

Tyssedal and Odda are both industrial towns. There are mountains, the fjord and waterfalls, but there are also large heavy industry factories - one produces titanium oxide and one is a zinc smelter. They are there because they need power and there is a ready source of power from the hydro electric station located inside the mountain at Tyssedal. The location is great if you want easy access to Trolltunga and Bondhusvatnet, but it isn't very touristy - it is more of an industrial area. The Kraftmuseum is excellent. We ended up there because it was raining in the morning - however, it was really good - a film and then a guided tour of the old hydro electric station which has been restored. It also gives a lot of information about the area, how it changed from farming to industry and why it is so industrial. So to summarise - use Tyssedal/Odda as a base but don't expect unspoilt scenery.

The room was amazing with the most beautiful view of the mountains, it was spectacular. The mattress was very comfortable and it was so quiet in the hotel, had a great nights sleep. The bathroom and shower is great also, the furniture is beautiful and the breakfast was amazing, really tasty and a big selection of different food to choose from. Dinner was also TOP! I will definitely come here again!

Great to have an apartment and freely move around doing things as we needed. Perfect location for getting bus to Trolltunga hike. Very easy check in. We were able to hire a large backpack from the sister hotel who were very friendly.

We stayed here for one night, on our way to Bergen. The check in was done at by a nice and helpful hoast, at the hotel nearby Tyssedal Hotel. The appartment had 2 bedrooms and was very large
