The Pier Hotel is the perfect place to stay when visiting Kaikoura. The executive suite was extremely clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with quality furnishings and fixtures. The views from the wrap around verandah were spectacular even on a rainy day. The food in the busy restaurant was good and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It started at the front desk Ashia (and apols if I spelt it wrong) looked after us very well and throughout our stay in providing recommendation of where to eat the night of arrival. Our room was spacious and obviously very well serviced, and as a bonux it overlooked the Esplanade. From my wife's perspective this stay was clearly the highlight of our trip to NZ.

I loved this place. The view is beautiful and it’s a great location if you want to stay in Kaikoura. In the morning we could see dolphins from our motelroom. Also the staff is lovely.
