Cool Location and although we had some small issue the Host was super friendly and helpful to solve all these topics! All in all a different accomodation which is very nice!

The accommodation was so thoroughly cleaned, the bed was really comfortable, there was a table to eat - I did not miss a thing. But mostly, the staff was so incredibly kind and hospitable. When I arrived at Lake Mahinapua, I had caught quite a bad fever and they did absolutely everything to make sure I was looked after (from giving me a room on a more quiet side of the complex, to making sure I had eaten, et cetera). Words cannot express how much I did appreciate that as a solo traveller.

Everything was amazing! Sue Ellen was an amazing host, everything was perfectly clean, the atmosphere is lovely, the breakfast was outstanding. Would definitely recommend to stay at Rimu Lodge, without any doubt!

Great spacious cottage with a full cooker. Nice and bright with plenty of natural light coming through the windows. Quiet area and only a few mins drive from the town and beach. Good sized bathroom and plenty of room to park. Fabulous place to stay.

We loved our stay here! The location was perfect for a trip to Hokitika Gorge and the adjacent restaurant was great. The room was much larger than we expected and super clean and comfortable. There was tea and coffee provided and everything we needed was available.

I stayed at this hotel in Hokitika and had a really positive experience. The facilities were spotless and everything was very comfortable, both the room and the common areas. The owner couple were very friendly and welcoming.Plus, there’s a lively bar on the premises with a great vibe perfect for having a drink without having to go anywhere. We would definitely stay again.
