Joanne and Neil are incredible hosts! We stayed for three nights, and honestly, we would have loved to stay longer. They own a little slice of heaven and are so generous in sharing it with others. If you love animals and nature, this is the perfect spot for you. Every morning, we had the pleasure of feeding the Alpacas and Goats. We also got to meet Bear, the official welcoming dog, and even had a chance to feed the goldfish. It’s truly an amazing place to visit! Everything you need is right there. The cabins are clean and tidy, and it’s clear that Joanne and Neil genuinely care about their guests’ comfort and enjoyment. We even took advantage of the BBQ a couple of nights, relaxing under the open skies filled with stars—such a delightful experience. Thank you Joanne and Neil, we are more than happy with how this little trip went. Javiera will miss to see the Alpacas every day.

It is my hometown.

It is my hometown. I was here for a funeral of a very good friend. Most of the local haunts are still going but the old identities have long gone. Very pleased to see that the mining company fraternity support the town both in the hospitality industry and directly.

It's a beautiful town with an awesome beach.

It's a beautiful town with an awesome beach. It's close to other towns, so you can make day trips to Whitianga, Matamata, Tauranga, Coromandel, Te Puke, etc. We went to an animal farm, had a beach day, and took a train ride. There are lots of options to eat out, but be aware that the "nightlife" shuts down by 9 p.m.

Great central location with easy access to Waihi itself, and...

Great central location with easy access to Waihi itself, and area's such as Whiritoa, Whanagamata, Paeroa within easy driving distance. Great Steak at The Sterling pub. When coming into Waihi from Paeroa on a nice day, suggest stopping somewhere along the Karangahake gorge for a walk. Beautiful on a sunny day.

Waihi is a beautiful place to visit the locals are so friendly the shops are great there is a great amount of accommodation, the bush walks are awesome the river is beauiful & the beaches are fun & the weather is neither too hot or too cold

You can't go wrong in Waihi with fish and chips at Kelly's ,Ti Tree cafe for coffee and brunch and a stay at Araluen House with host Julie. The rim walk at Martha mine has attractive planting and is worth doing.

The property was quiet, with an incredible view of Waihi. The heard of alpaca were such a treat as was being allowed to feed them. The rooms were very comfortable, warm and easy to find.

Good location, we were doing the Hauraki timber trail so it was only a short cycle to the track. Also a short drive to Waihi beach .
