We got a room with a beautiful view of Escalera Mountain Range. The sunsets were spectacular. The room, and the lodge in general is full of art pieces that give a unique touch to the property. Ah! they have an amazing library where you can spend time reading about history, art, ethnobotany, etc. All with an impressive view of the landscape. Breakfast was excellent with home-made bread and jam(!).

The Yanashpa Resort is a surprising place in the middle of the jungle, exceeding everything we expected. The welcome, the comfortable cabins and the delicious dishes in the restaurant made our stay unforgettable. It was the perfect retreat to reconnect with nature. The property is exactly as described in the pictures, green, bright open space, beautiful gardens amongst nature. The breakfast was outstanding and healthy served in the middle of the garden: delicious fresh papaya juice, bread, eggs, avocado, coffee, tea, butter, etc. the rooms perfectly clean and spacious. The best part though is the personnel, the owners (this Peruvian couple) are super warm and welcoming, they helped us all the time, and provided us more than what we expected. Thank you all the staff! It was a great holiday in Tarapoto and we loved the city and very friendly people 😊 Ps: other than the beautiful birds on the trees, they have lovely cats and friendly dogs who will welcome you at the door each time you enter 😍

The staff were excellent, very friendly and professional. I stayed for 5 nights on my own and then my daughter and family joined me. Great place to stay as a solo traveller or as a family. I'd definitely return!

Amazing property!! DO NOT second guess yourself We originally booked for two nights but after the first night we extended our stay another 6 nights. Great staff, beautiful property, safe, super clean and well tended property. Breakfast was amazing every morning. The owners live on site and are super hospitable. I can’t imagine any other properties in the area compare.
