The property was nice and comfortable with a good breakfast and friendly staff. The location while around 2km from the main road, is good for a night stop if you are traveling from Cuzco to Ayacucho. Also, there are some places to visit around (although we had no time to do it).

Such lovely and helpful staff, the room was huge and felt very clean, also breakfast was delicious! Perfect place to start off the salkantay trek! But I recommend hitch hiking or grabbing a taxi from here to the start of the trek as it is a long first day to walk the whole distance!

The owner is very kind and attentive. He gave us wifi right away, rooms were ready at 9:30am. Bathrooms are clean and equipped. Nights are cold but there is plenty of blankets. Biggest positive surprise was dinner: excellent, 4 courses meal. Fully recommended..

Great place to stay for the first night of the salkantay hike. We had to change our booking to the following night due to a strike in Cusco and they didn’t have the room with the sky roof available so they put us in another private room instead and I actually liked this room way more. It had its own bathroom and you could see the mountain out the window while laying in bed. The bed was comfortable and warm. We got a hot shower included. Information about how to get there was sent to us after booking which was super helpful. Made the start of the hike super easy

Salkantay starcamp is set in Anta. The campground has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with a shower. The property has an outdoor dining area. Guests at the campground can enjoy a continental breakfast.
