Exceptional small hotel located in a rustic old village on top of the mountain. Very nice bed and breakfast, with great pool surrounded by garden with beautiful landscaping. The rooms are decorated with vintage furniture and artwork all over the place. Breakfast is good. There is a restaurant which looks very inviting, outside patio seating, and during the day there are plenty of patio and lounge seats with great views of the valley. Very friendly staff. We highly recommend this hotel for a stopver in beautiful quaint surroundings.

Deolinda is a wonderful and welcoming host who made sure we felt at home from the moment we arrived. She greeted us warmly, gave us a tour of the house, and even had the wood stove running in advance—a thoughtful gesture, especially since temperatures were close to zero at night despite it being mid-March. The house itself was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated with charming details like fresh flowers on the towels. We also appreciated the bowl of sweets and fruits she had prepared, which added a lovely touch to our stay. The rooms were cozy, tastefully decorated, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated Deolinda's hospitality and attention to detail. We would happily return!

This hotel is in a great location. We went for the Festa do Queijo and it was easy to walk to all of the events and literally just about everywhere in the town. It was only about a 10-15 minute walk from the bus station to the hotel so we never needed to call a taxi. The hotel also has a very nice hot tub and swimming pool which we used as well. It sure was nice to soak in the hot tub after a long day of walking, standing and tasting all of the local goodies!

We loved our little holiday at Alva Valley Hotel. Staff was very kind and very attentive. We loved the bedroom and very spacious and the location was perfect to discover the area of Serra Da Estrella. Breakfast was an excellent too! We would definitely come back to stay here again!

Deolinda is a wonderful and welcoming host who made sure we felt at home from the moment we arrived. This hotel is in a great location. We went for the Festa do Queijo and it was easy to walk to all of the events and literally just about everywhere in the town. Very nice hotel with beautiful views. We stayed in a junior suite with was very comfortable with huge bathroom and private balcony. Very good bed and spacious room. Staff was welcoming and trough out our 3 night stay attentive. Great area for hiking our just relaxing at the large outdoor pool. Food in the restaurant was very good and affordable. We were very happy to choose this accommodation in rural Portugal.

The lady that runs the hotel was super sweet and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable - it was quite cold when we went and the room was really warm. The breakfast was amazing and really reasonably priced, as were the tapas that are available later in the day. Would 1000% recommend!

let me sum it up best I can, this is my favourite hotel in Portugal. the design, the service, the food, the location, it s hard to beat. a real Biden gem of design and concept. original and efficient. food was great too! staff was beyond. I ll be back many times!
