Fabulous. The one bed apartment has all the facilities you need, smart TV, lots of space and the small pool is beautiful. Private gated car parking in front of the apartments made it perfect for motorcycles. The owner met us and showed us round and was available to answer questions. It’s just a short walk into the town centre with a couple of small supermarkets and plenty of bars and restaurants. The breakfast provided was amazing!! Warm scrambled eggs, several warm pastries, bread rolls, ham and cheese, yogurt, OJ. We didn’t need to eat out at all! Totally recommended

Fonte d'Amandos offers rooms in the very centre of Arganil. All rooms have got private bathrooms, ours had a walk-in shower. We stayed in the family room, which has two levels, so our son had a little privacy. The place is air-conditioned and cleaned regularly. The beds are very comfortable, and there are also desks and space to hang clothes. The staff of Fonte d'Amandos is charming and always helpful. Every morning you can have breakfast at the bakery, which serves a good variety of rolls and cakes, both sweet and savoury. Many local people come for a coffee, and to buy bread there. There is parking nearby. We have stayed there before, and we will certainly come back.

It is a guest house in an old traiditional stone building covered by beautiful azulejos. A beautiful gigantic camelia tree grows beside it and the woner keeps peapocks. Inside it is full of old nineteenth centrur or oder paintings and arttefacts so it is a nice place for a person like history and victorian-like interior. The owner is super friendly and the breakafst is really large.

What a place! We have spent a lot of nights in different places, but never ever seen anything like this. The house is amazing, the welcome was better than anyone can expect. Right at the end of a dead end street in the most remote, tiny and quiet village, there is this beautiful restored house with breath taking views over the valley. Everything, but really everything was thought of and better than ever seen before. If you plan to go to this area, and you like remote places, this house is a must stay! The land lady (sorry, we forgot her name) lives just around the corner, and welcomed us with such a friendliness and passion for her house and the surroundings. I am sure we will be back one day. They make us feel like family, A very beautiful cabin is the perfect place to stay for a couple looking for peace and quiet, with chickens, sheep and doggies.
