We absolutely loved our stay at Leiras do Tempo Cottages! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Henrique, the co-owner of the lodging. He explained everything clearly and accompanied us to our cottage. The cottage was beautiful, clean, comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. It is located in a paradise-like setting surrounded by beautiful mountains and the views were breathtaking. The staff is also very friendly and kind. Helena, the other co-owner, was wonderful too. She baked us a cake for our 33rd wedding anniversary! Finally, the food was excellent- the breakfast was abundant with home-made jams with locally sourced fruits, fresh home-made cheese and wonderful juices. The home-made cake on Sunday was equally delicious! We had dinner at the restaurant on site (O Abocanhado) and we highly recommend it. We had a peaceful and wonderful stay at Leiras do Tempo Cottages. It is the perfect location to rest and to explore the National Park of the Gerês.

Our family's four-night stay was wonderful. The hotel had a warm, inviting atmosphere, and my 2 year old daughter absolutely loved her time in the jacuzzi. The spa was amazing. A special shout-out to Bruna, the masseuse. Her helpful and warm approach truly made our spa time exceptional. It was perfect blend of family fun, relaxation, and productivity. A truly nice time all around.

The location could not be more central to Vila do Gerês. The hotel is beautiful, the room was huge and the bed was really spacious and comfortable. I slept like a baby and I'm quite fussy about beds and mattresses. The shower/bath was big, the water hot and with good pressure, lovely bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean! The staff was friendly and the breakfast was nice too, European style with some eggs, pastries, fruits, cured meats etc. Would definitely come back again ☺️

We had a fantastic stay here last week. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with great hospitality. The breakfast was delicious, and on top of that, we also got to enjoy some homemade baked treats, which were absolutely amazing! Very easy to find the location. The owner and her family were very welcoming and friendly. The house is surrounded by a small patch of orange and lemon trees. We were allowed to pick as many as we wished. Can imagine how nice it would be to have a BBQ here. The house gets warm quickly after the fireplace is lit, the ventilation system is excellent and there is no smoke in the house. We loved that small skylight in the upstairs bedroom. When you lie in the dark on a rainy day, a small part of the wall becomes a sheet of light with water flowing through it. Wonderful experience. If you read until here. There's a big difference between the restaurants in town. Stay away from the Casa Capela, the food is not eatable in my opinion. Lurdes Capela is a much better one at approximately the same price.

We stayed 2 nights. But the location and everything else is also perfect for a longer stay. Loved the whole atmosphere and ambiance. Place is absolutely beautiful, sereen and the rooms are big and luxurious. We had dinner and that is something we can also recommend! The breakfast was one of my favourite things, if i could give an 11 instead of a 10 i would. The family is warm and welcoming and we got a lot of information about the region. We got personalized maps for our daytrips so we wouldnt miss anything of the beautiful highlights in the area.
