Staying at Solar de Vila Meã was a beautiful experience from start to finish. The first thing that struck me was the setting — it’s absolutely stunning. Surrounded by vineyards and peaceful countryside, the entire property feels like a hidden retreat. Every view, whether from the room, the pool, or the garden, looked like a painting. There’s a real sense of calm and space here that’s hard to describe but easy to fall in love with. The restaurant, Barro, completely exceeded expectations. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely proud of what they serve, which made the whole experience even more special. If you’re looking for a place that combines natural beauty with exceptional food and a sense of quiet luxury, I couldn’t recommend Solar de Vila Meã more highly.

This hotel was better than I thought. The pictures don't do the rooms justice: my room was much bigger than I assumed from the photos. The bathroom was spacious as well. The bed was really comfy, I had a coffee machine which was useful for the evenings I had a deadline to catch. The breakfast was plentiful, you can also get a hot breakfast on demand but I did not try that.

Wonderful. Equipped kitchen, good space, super big and comfortable bed, very quiet, very clean. The self check-in process is excellent, the communication is clear and responsive. Finally, the apartment is in the centre of Famalicao, so you can easily walk to cafes, restaurants and sporting events.
