The breakfast is not included but the extra 6.5 euros are very worth it. You also have a full kitchen at your disposal if you want to do it yourself. The location is great, and you can get to Serra da Estrela in around 30min. The rooms are very spacious and they all include private bathroom.

We really liked the tiny cute place and the veiw from the house. It was very clean and comfrtable. You have all the things you need available in the house and we really enjoyed doing the BBQ with amazing mountain veiw. The owner was very nice. HIGHLY RECOMENDED...👍

We arrived in Piódão after dark, but with the help of the short guiding video, we easily found the house. The house is very close to the excellent restaurant O Fontinha. The house is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Kitchen, dishes, stove, spices, cooking equipment (although we didn’t use the most of it), gas heater for the water, coffee machine, TV, internet 🛜, games, and probably more than I can remember. The house was clean and cozy, providing a really comfortable stay. The view from the house is stunning. Highly recommended place to stay!

We used this town as the base for our explorations of the...

We used this town as the base for our explorations of the Serra do Açor. It worked well for that purpose. We were able to drive to Piódão one day to visit the schist village there. And we spent one evening stargazing. The night sky was of very good quality according to our astronomer daughter who was traveling with us. We were able to see the Milky Way!! One evening we drove to Coja and dined at Restaurante Príncipe do Alva. We had a good meal of traditional Portuguese food with an upscale twist and wonderful, attentive service. There is only 1 small café/market in town. The mountain roads were in good shape, usually 2 lanes (although narrow), and paved. However they are twisty and can be steep, especially the switchbacks. It takes longer to drive from place to place than you might think because the roads slow you down.
