Great value for money in a good location with parking right beside the house. We didn't meet the owners, they gave us the code to the key and there were instructions and recommendations inside, but everything was very clean and they were very kind for leaving us some fruit, tea and coffee. You can hear the church bells every hour. Great place for a family stay.

The location was great! Just a 2 minute walk to the beach and the little village itself was absolutely adorable. The house had everything you need (we stayed for a week) and has a lot of space. Key collection was very easy and the hosts gave us great tips for sightseeing. Definitely recommend! :)

I don't know where to start! Rossana kindly waited for us on our arrival (1.30 am!) and despite late hour showed and explained everything we might need, there were some local type of pastries on the arrival in our room. We stayed in the bigger room with ocean view (3 of us) and a room was perfect, its big so you don't feel like there is no space for a group of friends. Balcony with a view - great! Breakfast was good, everything you need for a day full of adventure. You could also use the microwave, dishes, fridge (amazing!) located in the breakfast room. Cinnamon liquor made by Matriz house (owners) is 11/10, we wish we had checked in baggage for flight to buy some big bottles. If you need, you can also do laundry in the house (for an extra pay), but that's also is great feature of staying. Very accommodating, we have felt very welcomed and it was just GREAT! I just don't have words to recommend it enough. Thank you so much for the amazing time, you were part of it.

Our hosts were wonderful and reached out in advance to confirm our arrival details so that they could meet us in person. Breakfast was amazing and delivered to our door each morning, including delicious homemade banana bread! The location was stunning and close to everything we wanted to see and do in Sao Miguel. The apartment was spotless, comfortable and private. This is a very special place and we highly recommend! Thank you to Crispim and Cristina. We hope to come back!!

Great value for money in a good location with parking right beside the house. We stayed in the bigger room with ocean view (3 of us) and a room was perfect, its big so you don't feel like there is no space for a group of friends. Balcony with a view - great! Breakfast was good, everything you need for a day full of adventure. You could also use the microwave, dishes, fridge (amazing!) located in the breakfast room. Cinnamon liquor made by Matriz house (owners) is 11/10, we wish we had checked in baggage for flight to buy some big bottles. If you need, you can also do laundry in the house (for an extra pay), but that's also is great feature of staying. Very accommodating, we have felt very welcomed and it was just GREAT! I just don't have words to recommend it enough. Thank you so much for the amazing time, you were part of it.

We visited at New Year, very much out of the tourist season.

We visited at New Year, very much out of the tourist season. The fishing village looked quiet with a safe beach within the harbour walls. Small village restaurant, above the pub at the top of the hill, served the best meal (fresh fish) we had in two weeks on the island. We came to walk, and enjoyed an extremely windy walk to Praia da Viola with Atlantic waves crashing against the cliffs and beaches. Lush, green vegetation, bananas still hanging on the bushes/ trees in some of the small holdings. Christmas lights and nativity scene even in this small community was a joy. Easy access by road to many other locations. Friendly greetings from the locals we saw.
