What a wonderful, tranquil and tasteful place you've created Paula! We are so grateful for all the thoughtful touches - fresh bread in the morning, bottle of wine upon arrival... Mrs G was so friendly and welcoming when we got there despite being a bit late and having been a bit lost. We stayed in the cork house which is just perfect for a relaxing holiday stay for 2, it had everything we needed for cooking simple meals. We loved lounging in the sunshine on the deckchairs, listening to the nightingales singing at dusk, watching the sheep next door. We fell in love with this part of Alentejo! The house was perfectly situated for walks and only a short drive from the beautiful towns of Castelo De Vide and Marvão. We did not want to leave! Really hope we can be back in the future!

Set in Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, Quinta das Lavandas enjoys scenic views of the 1,4 acre lavender and lavandin grosso field that blooms during the first 15 days of July.

The owners were so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was also splendid, the location peaceful, and the room perfectly clean and comfortable. I would love to return and spend more time and would highly recommend to others.

The location is the best in Marvao The room was very comfortable with a terrace overlooking the castle and a window overlooking the convent and views to Spain. Truly spectacular. Breakfast was very good. The reception was warm and friendly.

Very mordern hotel with all the facilities, exceptional view on the Tejo and Portas do Rodoa. Free entrance for the (muncipal, public) swimming pool. The restaurant is also good and cheap. The staff is very helpful and warm.

This may have been one of the most special places I have ever stayed. The welcome, information and help Luiz provided was outstanding, and so warm and genuine. The town is absoutely unique and the location of the Pousada simply stunning. I cannot imagine anyone not loving it as I did!
