This accommodation was with no doubt our most beautiful and memorable stay in the Azores. The hotel was located directly at the beach. The interior design was thought out to the smallest details and thus created a unique calming atmosphere both in private and shared areas. Our room was upgraded without any additional fees, and we were pleasantly surprised both by the ocean view and by the twin shower. The breakfasts were rich and delicious, so we felt spoiled every morning. You can either enjoy your breakfast at the terrace with the ocean view or share your meal with other quests by the big table downstairs. The hostess was very friendly and helpful and prepared amazing cakes available for all the guests, as well as all the breakfast meals.

Our hosts were wonderful and reached out in advance to confirm our arrival details so that they could meet us in person. Breakfast was amazing and delivered to our door each morning, including delicious homemade banana bread! The location was stunning and close to everything we wanted to see and do in Sao Miguel. We arrived early in the moning and the host let us leave our bags at her place which was next door to the property. The place was clean, had everything we needed. The location was very central, close to restaurants, market and ocean. The bus station was 10 minutes walk away.

The cottage was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils. Every day the staff came and cleaned and every two days there was a change of towels. In addition, a beautiful garden inviting to spend time in it. The pool also looked good, but unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to use it. The location is very good, if you have a car - there is also a parking lot with a locked gate so there is no problem with leaving the car. Contact with the hotel staff without a problem. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would recommend :)

I enjoyed Riberia Grande.

I enjoyed Riberia Grande. It is a great place to situate yourself if you are planning to visit different areas of the island. The public swimming pools and ocean access was fantastic. I enjoyed going to the courtyard area in my area nightly to eat and enjoy a glass of wine. Took a little getting used to the serving staff here as they did not seem interested in their customers. Upon searching Google, I found out this may be because they are paid a decent living wage and therefore not reliant on tips. This makes it even more confusing as to why they would not be receptive to their customers.

We loved the quiet beauty of the home. Clean and comfortable and everything we needed was there. We enjoyed a tour of the East side with Manuel. Hot springs were lovely if you don’t mind walking on the basalt.

We wanted an authentic, non-touristy area to base ourselves. That’s Ribeira Grande. Pretty town with all amenities (grocery, laundry, museums), gorgeous town square and walkability. Nice access to rest of island for hikes. Friendly locals. Chocolatino, Tukatula, O Canadiano, Pacheco, casa de Pasto Flor-all great restaurants for varying appetites. Azores Brewing-excellent beer and fun vibe.

Ribeira Grande was accessible to drive everywhere on Sao Miguel; a 20 minute drive to the airport, Wonderful little restaurant Mare Nostre on the water was a great find; close to the Continente and Pingo Doce for groceries.

We loved the penthouse Monte Azul in Ribeira Grande.

We loved the penthouse Monte Azul in Ribeira Grande. The location was easy to find, there was always street parking available. The apartment was beautifully equipped and overlooked the shoreline. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the waves and the sunset. We were able to walk to several restaurants in the area, and getting there from Ponta Delgada was roughly 25 minutes.

The staff was very attentive and sincere. We had a delicious breakfast at the Resort daily. The beach was an integral part of a relaxing stay. Once you become accustomed to a round-about, you'll be fine driving. The city of Ribeira Grande is very walkable too.

I liked everything about this hotel. The location is beautiful, overseeing a beach that we have direct access to, with beautiful views all around. The room was more like a whole house, with living room, kitchenette, beautiful stone shower/bath, and a rope swing and jacuzzi. The breakfast food was amazing, and the dinner we had there was really good too. The staff were friendly and helpful, and offer a welcome drink during check-in. The bathroom products were also really good and local.

The house is very beautiful and spacious, and the nearby parking is quite convenient, although on busy tourist days (since the nearby beach is very popular) it may be difficult to find a spot. Highly recommended!. It is necessary to have a means of transport to reach larger towns such as Ribeira Grande, where you can find shops and a supermarket

Friendly check in and good communication. Overall we loved the place. Right in the centre of Ribeira Grande with it’s own parking. We had the studio with private bathroom. Very clean and maintained, well equipped kitchen in which we cooked some of our own meals, comfortable beds, and extra towels were provided for the beach/springs.

We loved the house. New, recently finished, very spacious and clean. Perfect choice for 4-6 people. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a huge living room with a well equipped kitchen. Great location in Ribeira Grande and a perfect little backyard to sit outside after a long day. Highly recommended. We would definitely come back!
