The room was very nice - comfortable and spacious, just what we wanted. The hotel restaurant, however, was fantastic: great food and low prices. Well done! Also, the hotel is right near the municipal pool, and if we hadn't been so tired when we arrived, we would definitely have gone for a bath.

I have stayed there between 13th and 16th of January 2025. I liked the location, close to Bistrita and to many other tourist attractions that are in the area( Colibita Lake, Sangeorz-Bai, Etc.). The rooms and bathrooms are really clean. The staff is very friendly and eager to help or answer all of your questions. There is parking available in front of the Hotel and if that is full you have plenty of parking spaces next to the hotel in a dedicated area. The food was good, we have arrived hungry and the staff was able to provide us with healthy and tasty food, for which we are deeply grateful. The breakfast was also good with plenty of food to choose from. All in all I really enjoyed my stay at Hoterl Poarta Transilvaniei, I will stay there in the future if the need arises and I will recommend it to other friends and family.

If there were more stars available to rate my stay at the Dream Apartment, I would rate them all. 🙌 That’s how happy I am with the experience I’ve had this past week. For 2 nights, I found even more than what I was looking for: a super clean, new, cozy and spacious place in a quiet area, with a very comfortable bed to rest. The view was my big bonus: simply beautiful, just like a hug for my eyes. Communicating with Darius, the owner, was a real pleasure! :) Super friendly, more than happy to assist with any extra direction or information I needed (and I did need a lot of extra information not because there was anything confusing but due to my tiredness and lack of focus, so THANK YOU, Darius, for your patience :). Your kind approach was refreshing! Highly appreciate it! 🙌😁). If I’ll ever go to Bistrița again, I’ll definitely book the same place. Too good not to!

I was born in this city. I expected to be a relaxing city, which it is. But the traffic is a nightmare. Most people I guess are living outside the center, but everyone needs to travel through the town. The roads were jammed.

An undiscovered gem of a city at the doorstep of the Carpathian Mountains. Interesting on its own, but also great as a springboard for the explorations of the surrounding mountains, cities, castles, and fortified villages.

We went there to visit family.

We went there to visit family. Otherwise mot much to do or see( sorry). The whole city was dug up to re-do the road structure , so a nightmare to travel both by foot or car( done both). But you can find cheap, diverse, very tasty food in the city “ pe pietonala” ( as local people call the heart of the city)

Bistrita has a very nice park and some nice monuments.

Bistrita has a very nice park and some nice monuments. From the Metropolis hotel, you van just exit the hotel and start to walk the Via Transilvanica (Romanian hiking trail that cross the country from north to South.

The city is very nice and clean, nice friendly people, i enjoyed taking strolls in the municipal park , and in the center is very nice in the evening, very lively. I ate at Crama Veche in the municipal park, i highly recommend it, very good food, a lot of traditional dishes ( the sausages are amazing - sold by half/1 meter ). Around the city there are some nice places to visit if you like nature- lacul Colibita. Also 15 km from Bistrita you can find a shooting range which i personally loved.

The hotel is situated in the centre of Bistrita City .Very nice and big room .Very clean room with all the bathroom essentials ( soap, shampoo, hair dryer ,) . Good breakfast included in price . A suggestion for the management is to provide slippers for the guests as it is expected from a 4 star hotel . Another suggestion is to change the breakfast time up to 11 am as not everyone is an early bird .

The accommodation is very cozy, clean and it has a really nice vibe. Being placed right in the city centre you can reach numerous attractions just by walking. Our hosts were very kind and willing to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Personally will recommend it to anybody who wants to visit Bistrita.

Although it was not a touristic period and the hotel was almost empty, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is very well placed near the park, has an elegant architecture and the room was confortable.

The apartment was perfect for our stay in Bistrita. It was, big, clean with everything you need. Close to the city center. The host was friendly.
