A very nice place to stay in the mountains. Extremely close by car to Lake Balea (about 15-20 min drive) and the highest part of Transfagarasan. Fresh air, comfortable beds and a peaceful atmosphere. There is a relatively large parking lot, sufficient for all guests. The hotel also has a restaurant where you can have dinner or lunch.

Set within the Fagaras mountain range of the Carpathians, Piscul Negru Hotel is situated on the famous Transfagarasan Road.

At first sight i was worried about this hotel (construction site next to hotel) but if we walk in, friendly personel welcome us and get us nice rooms. Restaurant was good, perfect served meals (like in Michelin restaurants maybe :) ) with friendly staff. Maybe bathrooms needs some reconstruction, but it´s just detail, because everything others was perfect. We have little problems with noise from reconstruction in afternoon, so we talk to personal. They stops that noise and we can rest after long trip and manager and personel decide to make some kind of refund - which was perfect for both sides :) ! As a bonus, there was nice shelter next to stream, we make little party over there. Another bonus was a bear behind that shelter, but no worries, he stays in safe distance and hotel dogs and puppies will scary him ! Amazing experience :) Reccomended hotel if you want to stay on Transfagarasan !

No doubt most amazing place in whole Transfagarasan road. On the edge of Vidraru lake triangle. All hotel is very nice and clean, has free spa for people who stay there. Very delicious food in restaurant. Big separate bar at the entrance lobby with tv. Big terrace with amazing view to the lake. Also there is kayak and boats renting place 100 metres down to the lake (just not worked that day for some reason, thats sad).

Hotel Posada Vidraru is set 200 metres from the Vidraru Dam on Arges River, and features a restaurant with Romanian and international cuisine. Rooms come with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels....

Great hotel located in a beautiful area on the vidraru Lake. Perfect view. The hotel is super clean, the rooms are spacious and cozy and the hotel staff is very nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and I definitely recommend the hotel
