If, like us, you are looking for somewhere to relax after your travels then Sela is absolutely the perfect place to unwind, just 30 mins outside Chiangmai. The building is beautiful and the staff is most welcoming and attentive. The grounds are well maintained and the good-sized pool is immaculate, with both shady and sunny spots to relax. Breakfast is varied and plentiful and Windows restaurant, open from midday, offers delicious dishes to suit all tastes. It is perhaps surprising to discover that the property was built very recently as it echos the style and grandeur of yesteryear. I’m certain this beautiful hotel will soon become a go-to destination for anyone wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of Chiangmai for the peace and quiet of the countryside. Dont' expect a standard Travelodge UK style hotel. This hotel is amazing! Beautifully decorated throughout. Large, spacious rooms and bathrooms. The breakfast room was very busy but very well organised and had a very wide selection of dishes to choose from. A truly memorable experience.

Quiet location, spacious room, excellent shower with enough water pressure and no sudden temperature changes, good bed (Japanese futon style, so it's hard). Small fridge, a/c works well (which was necessary as my room was on the side with the afternoon sun). Laundry facilities around the corner (coin machines). Views on Doi Suthep and the green mountains. After 22:00, it is quiet in the hotel (thankfully). Ample private parking spaces. Close by the airport, ideal for a late arrival or an early departure. Excellent breakfast place just across the street. Very helpful receptionist staff with very good English.
