The family who own the place were so sweet and helpfull all the time, and our kids loved playing games with them. The took us for a free sunset trip, made small local snacks and helped us arrange trips. It was like living with a local family in very very beautiful surroundings and perfect new build cabins. We cannot recommend this enough and hope to come back someday.

Staying at riverside cottages was a really cool experience. The accommodation is right in the jungle so it’s good to keep in mind that you will be surrounded by wildlife and insects. This was something I was nervous about but when you just accept that it’s the jungle you really get the most out of it. The room was super comfortable, had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, mosquitoes nets were good quality, bathroom was perfect. The balcony’s are really cool because if you’re sitting on them you are in the jungle and can hear all the jungle noises. Yes there were geckos and insects in our room but it’s expected and you are protected by the net when you’re sleeping. There was no AC but we found it fine, we were here in May when there was a bit of rain so this might have helped but it was manageable. The restaurant is lovely on site, does everything you need. We went to the local town for dinner one night and there are lots of options available. You can get to the town by the free shuttle bus that runs every three hours or can ask for alternative times for a small charge. We did a night time canoe tour and the overnight lake stay through the hotel and they were brilliant. The overnight lake tour was more than we could have ever expected - this is a must do if you’re visiting. Recommend booking through the hotel to ensure you get a good experience. If you’re looking for a jungle experience this is definitely a great option!

Everything, great accommodation. We had a family apartment. It is also suitable for two couples, because it consists of two separate rooms with their own entrance and 2 separate bathrooms. The family who own the place were so sweet and helpfull all the time, and our kids loved playing games with them. The took us for a free sunset trip, made small local snacks and helped us arrange trips. It was like living with a local family in very very beautiful surroundings and perfect new build cabins. Staying at riverside cottages was a really cool experience. The accommodation is right in the jungle so it’s good to keep in mind that you will be surrounded by wildlife and insects. This was something I was nervous about but when you just accept that it’s the jungle you really get the most out of it. The room was super comfortable, had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, mosquitoes nets were good quality, bathroom was perfect. The balcony’s are really cool because if you’re sitting on them you are in the jungle and can hear all the jungle noises. Yes there were geckos and insects in our room but it’s expected and you are protected by the net when you’re sleeping. There was no AC but we found it fine, we were here in May when there was a bit of rain so this might have helped but it was manageable. The restaurant is lovely on site, does everything you need. We went to the local town for dinner one night and there are lots of options available. You can get to the town by the free shuttle bus that runs every three hours or can ask for alternative times for a small charge. We did a night time canoe tour and the overnight lake stay through the hotel and they were brilliant. The overnight lake tour was more than we could have ever expected - this is a must do if you’re visiting. Recommend booking through the hotel to ensure you get a good experience. If you’re looking for a jungle experience this is definitely a great option!

The National Park has limited access to the public with only...

The National Park has limited access to the public with only 1 trail available (3k one way) for everyone so many people are on the same trail with little chance to see wildlife except for monkeys, snakes, and a few birds. If you want to go further into the park you have to pay a high price per person for a guide. The guides are quite varied and the park couldn’t recommend anyone with extensive knowledge of the ecology or wildlife. But they were good at spotting snakes which we wouldn’t have seen otherwise but only knew the name.

Khao Sok National Park is absolutely stunning – with lush...

Khao Sok National Park is absolutely stunning – with lush jungle, breathtaking scenery, and plenty to do from hiking and canoeing to wildlife spotting and night safaris. An unforgettable experience for nature lovers and adventure seekers. We ate at the lake in beautiful restaurant simple food and then we took canoe ride around.

The park is huge and amazing! So much to do and see.

The park is huge and amazing! So much to do and see. What I didn’t like was the entry sign with the discriminatory fees listed. In English, “ Foreigners 200 baht “, then, written in Thai, “ Thai citizens 40 baht “.

Definitely go to Khao Sok if you love nature.

Definitely go to Khao Sok if you love nature. It was a once in a lifetime adventure that I'm so glad we did. The park is beautiful and the local guides are so kind. Definitely do a night on the lake if you can. We booked a private tour with Khao Sok Local Guides, which I found on Facebook, and they were great. Canoeing on the Sok River and the longboat wildlife spotting on the lake was my favorite. So peaceful and saw lots of animals. One perk of a private tour is that you can hike much deeper into the jungle on your hikes and can go off the main trails that the groups of 20-40 tourists have to follow. You also learn a lot more because you can hear what the guides are saying (big groups can't). Be forewarned that a moderate hike in the heat is no joke, but stay hydrated and you'll be fine. It's worth it.

Park is amazing - lake is staggeringly beautiful, the park is full of wildlife and the range of options for activities is very broad - trekking, cooking class, elephant experience, canoeing, etc. It's very big - takes an hour to get from the village to the pier for the lake. But it's worth it!

Nice scenery, but not as good as advertised.

Nice scenery, but not as good as advertised. Too many tourists and little chance of seeing wildlife. Too many bars with weed playing Bob Marley all day long. If that's what you are after, great. Also, impossible to get a Grab taxi from the place, you have to pay rip off prices for the local taxis or be lucky and catch the bus that isn't punctual. Maybe better to stay elsewhere and just visit the lake with an organized tour.

Location is great with a short cut off the Main Street in khao sok town. Very accessible to the hiking trails in the main national park. The owners were very helpful in organising transfers at a competitive price to our next destination. We did the programme D for one over night in the floating bungalows which was all organised with palmview. Tour was a little disorganised but very enjoyable over all. Other bungalows had some better reviews on the lake so may be worth enquiring for those when booking through the resort.

We had a wonderful stay. Staff was very friendly, rooms were nice and clean. We loved the garden. Staff helped us book 2 different tours which was nice to do it from the premises. One tour got canceled due to elephants with babies walking in the national park on the roads. This was something that was unforeseen and of course no one’s fault. Owners were very considerate about this and returned our money without questions asked. Helped us look into alternatives. Would highly recommend staying here when in Khao Sok.

The tree top hotel is the closest to the National Park entrance and it's walking route for jungle treks. It's situated next to the river and most rooms have a great view. There's a refreshing pool and helpful staff. Khao Sok isn't that big, with Tree top river hotel you are at the end of the main street filled with restaurants/bars. At some point some monkeys came passing by through the resort, a fun experience.

The perfect place to stay for a few nights in Khao Sok. The hotel is really well maintained, the food at the restaurant is excellent, the staff are helpful and they offer a wide variety of tours to do. I did the full day lake tour and the 1.5 hour trip to the elephant sanctuary which were both brilliant.

Positive on all aspects: location (at the entrance of the main street), lovely staff (good advice for restaurants and efficient replies / bookings for private tours), cute and simple house, and loved the breakfast options. Definitely an easy and sweet hotel for a stay in Khao Sok!
