The hotel is located in the historical part of Mardin. The hotel has its own parking. The owner is very friendly, he told in detail about the city and the surrounding area. Breakfasts were tasty. We were pleased with the trip and the hotel.

I liked everything about this hotel. Friendly staff who always help with advice. Very attentive hotel owner who really cares about his guests. The day we checked in it was very cold and they brought us an extra heater. We didn't even ask about it, but we were very impressed with such care for the guests. The rooms are clean, and cleaning is done every day. If I come to Mardin again, the question of where to stay will definitely not arise, of course, in Carra Konagi.

It would be wrong to say it’s one of the best hotels in Mardin because it’s not one of the best hotels , it’s THE BEST hotel in Mardin …. Location and accessibility is very important for this magical old town and this hotel has everything in its favour …. If someone wants to experience a luxurious, magical experience then this is the place to be….

The most amazing and safe place I could ever chose! Everyone was nice and respectful, very welcoming and always kind and ready to help. Breakfast was tasty and the view from terrace over Mesopotamia was incredible! I would come back for sure!

The building is a traditional inn impeccably restored and equipped with the facilities of a 5-star hotel. The interior design is a combination of traditional materials and contemporary art. If we add to all this the extraordinary kindness of the staff (especially Mr. Diyor), our stay at this hotel was extraordinary. For those who want an authentic and unforgettable experience, this is the place.

We liked the hotel very much. Everything - the old historical building in the street that is only accessible by stairs, the view from the terrace, our room, decorations, friendly staff, breakfast. Also complimentary tea and coffee all day long.

There are certain hotels, like the Amandari in Ubud or the Riad Fes of Relais & Châteaux in Fez that embody the soul of a place so perfectly that one almost never wants to leave the hotel, regardless of how beautiful it is outside. These hotels stay with you long after you leave. Mardius Tarihi Konak is such a hotel. It is in a different league compared to any other hotel in the region. It is a gem. The standard of excellence in Mardius is set with nothing other than the owner's genuine desire to welcome you into their childhood home, and to host you like a guest would have been hosted in their home, some many years ago by their grandparents. This genuine desire is what sets Mardius apart from every other hotel we have ever stayed in. It is apparent in every aspect of the hotel, from the beautifully designed and appointed rooms, to the impeccable service provided by the ever attentive staff. Mardius is not just a hotel, it is an experience; utterly unique and authentic. Our room at Mardius was furnished with a locally made ornate wooden armoire, a writing desk, a sofa upholstered in a lush sateen and a King size comfortable bed. All lines, sheets and towels were from the Turkish luxury brand Haremlique. Outside on the terrace, we could lie on wooden beds with soft cushions, and watch the sun setting over the wide open plains of mesopotamia while sipping freshly brewed crimson turkish tea. Staff was always there, to assist us in whatever we needed in Mardin. Breakfasts were feasts; every item purchased directly from the local producers and served with bread baked on site fresh every morning. When you are there, definitely, ask to have dinner. It was, without doubt, the best food we have had in the region. Each and every dish was so delicious that writing about it now, my mouth waters. You must of course go to Mardin. But you must definitely go to Mardius. You will not want to leave it. And when you leave, you would want to go back.

After staying at multiple hotels in this region, we expected this one to be the least impressive based on online booking reviews. However, it turned out to be the exact opposite! The hotel is wonderful — secluded and pleasant. It has beautiful views, a private terrace for guests, spacious rooms with varied lighting options, new air conditioners, comfortable beds, and warm, fluffy blankets (all the previous hotels had only waffle sheets, assuming it was warm enough, but I tend to get cold and need a blanket even in 30°C weather). The stay includes a Turkish breakfast, which is very diverse and delicious. I especially enjoyed a unique sweet treat that seemed like carrot jam — something I’d never seen before!

Super nice hosts, very clean and nicely decorated rooms, good but quiet location in the old town.
