What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

Breakfast was amazing! The staff was very friendly and the hotel is located very close both to the center and to the beach/harbor. The hotel offers excursions throughout Zanzibar and also trasfers (by boat and taxi) at reasonable prices. Absolutely to be recommended!

The property is gorgeous, with great antique styling, clean and comfortable rooms, a great location outside of the chaos of Stone Town, but a 2 minute walk away, all around amazing hotel. And what made it even better was the staff, who were always incredibly friendly and very open to doing whatever necessary to make the guests feel at home, trying new recipes, etc. Absolutely recommend! Everything, this place is full of history and stunning. The staff are incredibly attentive and so nice, very professional, one of the best service I experienced. The room are authentic and clean. The facilities are just spot on. The breakfast really good with magical chef that make the show with the omelet! Well I will definitely come back for vacation the full familly.
