This hotel was amazing. It had so many unexpected amenities. Stovetop, toaster, clothes basket and way more. The bed was super comfy and the furniture updated. Pretty colors and decor and a extremely accommodating staff . They even had ice cream for a late night craving.wow five stars from me I will be back to stay

I called this property to book a room for a short one night stay; due to a wedding I was in, my husband needed the room for himself. When I called, I asked if they offered a late checkout. The staff member on the phone was happy to provide that for him. However, upon my husband’s arrival, they told him they were unable to accommodate that due to their housekeeping schedules. When I called and spoke to a member of their staff regarding this problem, they were able to locate the late checkout note, and happily fixed the misunderstanding. My husband also raved about their continental breakfast. He said out of the many hotel breakfasts he has had, this Hampton offered the best selection and he was very pleased.

Colonial Beach makes for a Great getaway.

Colonial Beach makes for a Great getaway. Quant beach town with several nice eating places. Dockside Restaurant and Tiki Bar is always a must when we travel to Colonial Beach. Love to ride around the town in golfcart and just take in the sites. Friendly people.

What a wonderful quiet, small, not overwhelmed with tourists...

What a wonderful quiet, small, not overwhelmed with tourists, kind of place. It was perfect for a trip with my daughter and granddaughter. Although the restaurants weren’t all wonderful, there were several from which to choose and within walking distance. The public beach is well maintained.

Colonial Beach is the perfect little coastal town.

Colonial Beach is the perfect little coastal town. It's budget-friendly, clean, full of sweet, helpful people. River Edge was a great place to stay with excellent views. T and T Golf Carts cut us a great deal due to it being off-season and the time of day we rented our cart. My niece had a great time at the playground playing with some local kids who couldn't have been any sweeter. This was not my first visit to Colonial Beach, and it surely will not be my last.

Colonial beach is a great place to just kick back, and relax...

Colonial beach is a great place to just kick back, and relax. Not a whole lot to do. But if you just like a laid back feel, it is wonderful. Has an arcade pizza place for kids, long beach walks, shells, a small playground. Places to shop, a tiki hut. A grocery store, and nice restaurants. Roads can be a little squirrly on side roads so be alert. Excellent thrift stores!

Such a wonderful town. I could definitely live here! Our rented beach cottage, Might as Whale was perfection! Might as Whale stay there again and enjoy the most wonderful dinner at Dockside Restaurant and Tiki Bar only half a mile away. Loved the antique mall!

I loved it so much.

I loved it so much. A less populated beach, pretty views, relaxing. The whole town was walkable too with diverse places to eat. Not too much shopping options though. It’s also 20 min away from the George Washington birthplace.
