You can never be disappointed with the king tides at Depoe...

You can never be disappointed with the king tides at Depoe Bay. Shops are sweet and Bigfoot coffee was amazing Sea Hag has the best seafood tacos and clam chowder and tasty tartar sauce. Don’t forget your taffy and caramel corn!

not enough open restaurants since there is a lot more people staying in the area with the time share up the block and didnt look like they had enough help in the resataurants we visited not the first time this has happened in depoe bay

Depot Bay is spaced perfectly between Lincoln City and...

Depot Bay is spaced perfectly between Lincoln City and Newport. We spent 7 full days here and enjoyed all three towns very much. It's really beautiful and nice all around, but we could have easily seen it all in 4 or 5 days. If you have a full week, you might consider 4 days here and 3 days up the coast in Seaside or Cannon, then back to PDX for your flight home.

I have always loved Depoe Bay.

I have always loved Depoe Bay. My favorite spot on the Oregon coast & the best place to see whales usually. Cute little town with very cute gift shops. Our only disappointment was the sea was very rough that day & our whale watching boat was cancelled along with all the others for the day. Not the fault of anyone, just weather.

Depot Bay was great!

Depot Bay was great! We got to watch a group of whales for about an hour down by the visitor's center. The little shops were fun to walk through and by little gifts, and the prices were reasonable.

Location couldn’t have been better. Best in town,IMO. Hill was steep to walk up, but only bc Im old, ha! Woman in office was very sweet. Only thing I could think of negative was rooms need clocks. Just that. There is the wonderful restaurant across the street, ‘Tidal Raves”. High quality food and a stellar view. The walk down to the boardwalk has everything: cute shops, souvenirs, food, snacks, and the Whale watching Station too! I saw Sea Lions at the base of the bridge stairwells when you look to the lower rock ledge. There’s the view of the harbor, too. For me the price and value of this hotel stay was exceptional and unforgettable!

There was enough parking space. The breakfast was OK, but the coffee was very good. The tea selection was nice as well. Thank you for serving decaf! We could see part of the bay from the comfort of our room, and the binoculars were a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable! It was the most comfortable hotel bed we've had in a year, and we travel a great deal. That alone was the reason for our Exceptional rating for Comfort! Besides relaxing and visiting with friends, we visited the Yaquina Lighthouse and went on a Whale Watching Tour.

The room has a balcony with a view right over the ocean. The bed was comfortable. The staff responded to our requests properly. The hotel is located close to a grocery store and a few restaurants. The room had a microwave and a small fridge together with a coffee machine but no utensils. We didn't try the pool. There is an easy access to the beach, and at the reception you can find the tides schedule for the season.
