I got locked out of my room after the office was closed. I called the number on the office door and a kind gentleman quickly arrived to let me in and reassured me that he was not bothered. Clean, spacious, well appointed cabin room, gorgeous landscape and forest setting! Highly recommended!

The hospitality was fabulous, we spoke with Andy who was a great source of information and always a pleasure to chat with. Though there was no continental breakfast, the coffee was good and the complimentary pastries were a nice touch! Rooms were clean and recently updated, great comfort and state of the art appliances. Even the location wasn't too far from the boardwalk and other fun things to do in the area.

I loved how the rooms were so quiet, but you could find life outside your door downstairs at the restaurant or bar. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Rooms were super clean. And, most of all, I love the nature vibe and clean energy of the hotel - rooms were appointed with natural wood decor and soft accents and outside was filled with beautiful flowers and trees. It was a bit of a haven in the middle of Santa Cruz. It was also walking distance to shops, restaurants and the Wharf!

The cabin was beautiful with big redwood trees .

The cabin was beautiful with big redwood trees . Nice location but no one in the front desk to check you in or out. Coffee pot but no coffee and Must wash your dishes and take the trash out or you will be charged. There is quiet time by 10 pm but luckily we didn’t have a cabin next to us so we where ok but I think they are way to strict to the point they have a binder with rules in the room . There is shampoo that had no Oder and the conditioner was watery . The floors were dirty that your feet are black when you go to bed. Overall the setting was pretty but their rules suck. They even said you will be charged a fee if you don’t put furniture back when you leave.

Nice town to check out the Redwoods and trains at Roaring Camp. First time that we stayed at Fern River resort and we enjoyed our cabin. Feels so good to be with nature and hearing the sound of the river. Felton is a nice place to check out if you want to be with nature, avoid the crowds and the city life.
