The breakfast was excellent. Scott's pear cider and jam were both delicious. We enjoyed talking to both Lisa and Scott. They were charming. I am recommending this B&B to our daughter and son-in-law.

We loved it so much we stayed longer. The hosts are polite and accommodating, the house is beautiful and stylish! The beds are comfortable and couch is cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub on the screened porch, relaxing and refreshing! Can't say anything bad about our stay! They are well stocked for long stays too!

We had been to Front Royal and Skyland Drive several times; however, it had been over 10 years since we were there last. It is an interesting area and we wish we could have been there earlier in the fall when the leaves were changing, but we simply could not get away at that time.

Front Royal is the starting point on the north end of the skyline drive. The town really is cute and time could be spent there, which we did not. We drove into town and had dinner at the main st mill-really cute place with murals on the wall inside and great sandwiches at good, fair prices.

front royal is a great place for outdoor activities like floating down the river, going to skylie drive, hiking and camping. wineries are a short drive away. the scenery in and around front royal is beautiful. the meliting pot pizza place is an old, iconic local joint. pizza is different but unusually good. for more new york pizza, try anthoy;'s. the element is also a great restaurant on main street. traffic is never a proble here and easy to get around.

Loved the caverns; great family memory..

Loved the caverns; great family memory..The historic downtown was a really cool place at night all lit up with some great shops to choose from. We aren't adventurous with food so went to Applebees and Cracker Barrel but our B and B hosts said the local spots in the historic part of town are top notch. We loved Mountain Home BnB and hiking the AT is always a great date day especially after the amazing breakfast at Mountain Home.

Fantastic place to visit especially during the fall season.

Fantastic place to visit especially during the fall season. We enjoyed driving skyline drive and pulling off to snap pictures at the designated overlooks. There are many trails to see... Be sure to grab a map at the visitor center. In addition, there are shops and restaurants on main street some dating back decades that we enjoy.

The town is quaint t the edge of the the Shenandoah Valley, historic with intact late 18th to early 20th century buildings, welcoming rural Virginian hospitality from many small, family owned businesses (some there for decades), at the gateway to the magnificent Shenandoah Natl Park and breathtaking Skyline Drive that winds southward atop the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Visitors Center (former FR train station) is most helpful. Stay at the Mountain Home B&B, built in 1847 and restored this past decade, to gain an informed perspective about the area's history while enjoying gracious hospitality.
