We didn't go to Genoa on our most recent trip (it's 3 miles from Walley's Resort), but we have on other occasions. It's a fun little town with a lot of interesting history. There's a well-paved walking/biking pathway from the resort if you want to visit the town and want an alternative to driving.

Genoa is a quaint historic gem of a city with lots of deer as residents. Several delicious restaurants are in town. It’s quiet and secluded. I stayed at David Wally’s Resort for about 5 months on a business trip once and fell in love with Genoa. I wish I could afford to live there will all of the spectacular views.

I have always loved this place, but this time was not good! jacuzzi was ice cold could not use the hot springs pool had to use Colorado pool which was filthy with hair & bugs :/ our room was full of mosquitos by sister got chewed up during the night for what they charge this all could of been a much better experience

The hotel was located in a quiet city, far from the crowds. It was beautiful and had many amenities. The hot springs were amazing and open from 7 am to 10 pm. The restaurant was also beautiful and the staff was very kind. We didn’t have to pay the $55 for the hot springs because we were staying in the hotel. Apparently, they charge for people from outside.

You’d have a hard time finding a hotel with better views and natural ambiance. Waking up to the sunrise over the wetlands in front of you and the mountains behind was sublime. The rooms are comfortable and clean, as well.
