Very helpful staff in all areas: reception (Keena, especially); dinner restaurant (Michael R), and the bartender whose name I did not catch. We had a one-night stay for a teen's birthday celebration with 5 teens and 4 adults. 2 rooms, all clean and quiet. Adults had a relaxing time, we loved happy hour! Kids loved the pool and chatting during happy our with their snacks and sodas. Dinner was lovely in the quiet restaurant. Breakfast was a treat with so many choices for all. All in all it felt like a holiday.

The room located on the second floor had a visible floor slope, which did not affect our stay at all. The bathroom was very clean, renovated. Nice toiletries were provided. The breakfast included a choice of omelet, bagels, muffins, waffles, and cereals. You could ask for the bagel to be toasted.

Pete Welcomed us upon arrival. Was very friendly and was able to give us the room we wanted. The morning staff was very friendly when we went down for coffee and muffins. Would definitely stay again.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. Bed were very comfortable. Breakfast was hot and ready and had a good variety, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fruit, cream of wheat, oatmeal, a variety of breads and condiments, make your own waffles.

Lovely location, close to everything but quiet and peaceful. Very spacious and comfortable, best night’s sleep we’ve had in quite some time! Loved everything about it! The owners were extremely responsive to questions and had excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Ate dinner at Il Davida for Italian. The service was great and the food was better. Enjoyed our evening immensely. The dessert was the icing on the whole meal. Another evening we went to a local Mexican Restaurant Sabor a Mexico. Authentic and delicious.

Small and quiet town with a shortish main street with a great bakery (Bordenave's). Enough cafes and restaurants to choose from. Lovely Mission, and cute shop which unfortunately has limited opening hours. Great location for nearby hikes.

San Rafael is a great base for exploring West Marin and the Wine Country with fabulous restaurants, and great local scenery. It has a lovely downtown. Don't overlook the neighboring communities and towns. Don't miss the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Civic Center.

Sam Rafael is close by Marin, Tiburon Sausalito ..Lots of fun places to go shop, eat and sight see. Here on a vacation with my daughter to visit friends. It is a good central and safe location. Would not stay at Embassy Suites again! It was the only negative in the entire trip.

San Raphael is a sweet little stop to stay on your way to visit Mt. Tamalpais. There are good restaurants within walking distance from the new Marriott in downtown. It is a quieter destination than the bigger cities like San Francisco or Berkley, which is nice. I highly recommend Il David to grab dinner.

The room was spacious and had great air conditioning. They had blackout drapes and a nice tub. I loved the shampoo and conditioner that was already in refillable dispensers in the tub/shower area. They also had every channel I could ask for with the TV and I was able to access my netflix as well. I will stay there again. Great value.
