We had to choose between the two properties (109 or 111), and we ended up going with 109. We had a look at 111 while we were on site, and it is definitely much more modern and newer, but 109 has Bushveld charm and character. We loved the comfortable outdoor seating where we could visit and relax, and the large outdoor table was great.

The size made it feel very intimate and like part of a home. It’s beautiful, food is fantastic and lovely break away from the city when you don’t want to be bothered to self cater in Mabalingwe.

Absolutely everything was thought of for your stay at this property, from towels for jacuzzi/pool to every pot, pan, glass, utensil, ice machine in kitchen to games for entertainment to gowns, slippers,iron in the room. Everything you need, it is there. Really enjoyed having a chef and cleaner on standby as well, makes a weekend away really enjoyable not having to cook and clean. Nice big fridge, fireplace, boma, ample covered parking, comfortable room with beautiful bath tub and outdoor shower and magnificent views. I can’t wait to come back again in!

Well appointed accommodation, private with a great entertaining area, overlooking the reserve with incredible views. The staff were amazing and super friendly, thank you Jonathan! Facilities were great and hiring the vehicle is a must - no need to book drives with main camp if you do. What a great experience.

Loved the homey feel and character of this huge space.

Loved the homey feel and character of this huge space. It is extremely well equipped and well designed. The animals come to feed right in front of the house, and it is very close to the golf course. Main bedroom is very big, while the other rooms are smaller, so bear that in mind when booking.

The house has 4 bedrooms, each numbered.

The house has 4 bedrooms, each numbered. We experienced the following problems. Room 1 - Perfect Room 2 - Missed a lot of globes. Couldn't use the bedside lamps or the lamps against the wall above the bed. Only 1 globe in bathroom. Room 3 - Was a bit dirty and shower door couldn't close Room 4 - Perfect.

First night electricity went off, back up only lasted an hour at most. We were compensated for that by checking out 2 hrs late. Then the main issue was the Jacuzzi, we were told it’s actually not a jacuzzi but rather a heated pool dependent on weather conditions. This was disappointing because it’s winter and the jacuzzi did not get warm. In addition to this we specifically asked if it would be working prior to arrival. House is very beautiful, just as in the pictures if not better.

Moheme is the place for serious "bundu bashers".

Moheme is the place for serious "bundu bashers". You need a rattle-free 4X4. Its in the middle of nowhere. The lunch, which is the last meal sitting of the day at the clubhouse, left much to be desired. Driving to town or anywhere else is painful except if your driving a Range Rover I guess.

The lodge gets 5 stars. The staff is friendly.

The lodge gets 5 stars. The staff is friendly. David makes it easy for us guests. He is welcoming and very helpful and humble. The grovel road is the one that we did not like. It is too long and makes the journey uncomfortable.
