Absolutely loved staying here. The place exceeded my expectations for that form of pricing. The service was astounding. I forgot my wallet after checking out, the owner called me and hand-delivered it to me in Pretoria. That act of service deserved noting. Value for money and great owner!

The room was fine.

The room was fine. Our biggest issue was that we were so looking forward to a good country breakfast and it was a complete disaster. The fried eggs looked as if a steam roller had squashed them and were burnt, the pork sausage was raw and the potatoes were hard and not cooked. Then asked for a soft boiled egg.....2 eggs were delivered in a silver gravy boat as no egg cups available. Egg was hard boiled. For a 5 star rating this was a very poor show and totally unacceptable.

There is a nightclub next door and its super noisy, it sounded like they have a speaker in my room playing Kwaito and yelling over a microphone the whole night so don't go there if you are planning on sleeping at all. Also don't expect any signal and in my case any wifi. Limited DSTV channels. I ordered breakfast the day before for 7:30, when I got there they haven't even started with it so I skipped breakfast all together. Staff are friendly and the rooms are neat but the location is horrible.

The accomodation was very good and very clean and the courtesy of staff was great, Food was so bad I can't even explain, both breakfast and supper, atleast the cereals were better I would recommend to bring your food when visiting the place.

Where the hotel is situated, it is perfect for those who are looking to be away from the City Busy Life. It for those who are looking to have a more intimate and quiet getaway. If you are looking to have a more relaxed, quiet and romantic getaway then the place is for you. What I loved about the hotel itself is that you didn’t need to go to town to have a meal or a drink, it caters for everything. I would recommend if you book Hotel Marang, rather travel during the day as the place is isolated. I would not advice travelling late, as it looked a bit unsafe on the way there…

Overall our stay was very good.

Overall our stay was very good. Rooms are very comfortable and staff are very welcome and friendly. However not to be rated a 5 star hotel. Too many things not working or offered , lacking attention to detail. For a 4start hotel is GREAT but not for a 5star hotel

I made contact with the hotel to confirm my booking and a lady referred me to her boss Mr X. He checked and confirmed my booking. He then suggested that he will add a sleeper couch to one room for my son & I was very happy with his thoughtfulness. When we got there, no sleeper couch was there and he said there was a shortage and house keeping had gone. Why was I not notified that what I was promised could not be delivered? Very disappointed!

We were checked into a filthy hotel room…dusty, smelly room with no lights in the front of the room. Ants all over the floor. The blind in the room looked like they were cleaned many moons back. We had to check out immediately and drive around looking for alternative accommodation. It was a huge disappointment!

The hotel presents itself very well. The staff welcomed us very nicely and the room and garden where to enjoy breakfast were of high quality. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Also a spa and a pool are available on the premises.
