From the moment we stepped through the door, The See Anemoon Self-Catering exceeded every expectation and set a new standard for what a carefree coastal stay should feel like. Incredible, unobstructed ocean views that turned the sunset into a small miracle. A pristine, beautifully clean space that instantly makes you feel at home. The surrounding area is peaceful and picturesque, perfect for relaxing evenings on the terrace or leisurely strolls along the nearby paths. The place is spotless and impeccably maintained, with a tasteful, calming decor that enhances the sea-side vibe. It has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay: well-equipped kitchen (and a coffee machine), comfy living areas (with a bar), and thoughtfully arranged bedrooms (super comfy beds). Accessibility to essentials and little conveniences throughout the space made it easy to settle in from day one. The owners are incredibly friendly and genuinely hospitable—warm and attentive Their local tips and thoughtful touches made us feel like honored guests, not just visitors. Communication was seamless, from booking to check-out, with a personal touch that’s rare to find. The accommodation genuinely over-delivered on our expectations. It felt generous—like the kind of place where every detail has been considered to ensure a relaxing, joyful stay. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning our next visit. I absolutely love St Helena Bay.

I absolutely love St Helena Bay. Every time I visit, I’m blown away by the peace and natural beauty of the place. The beaches are quiet and unspoiled, the sunsets are breathtaking, and there’s truly something special St Helena Bay.(so much so I bought some land) The locals are friendly, the seafood is fresh, and the whole atmosphere just makes you feel relaxed and at home. It’s truly one of my favorite coastal getaways.

St Helena Bay is a very interesting village.

St Helena Bay is a very interesting village. It is conveniently situated on the West Coast within in reach of many small, interesting villages and towns. It faces north over the sea, which makes it ideal. Its close proximity to Cape Town is definitely a bonus.

A quiet little town, perfect for retirement or just to recharge your batteries. Coffee shops and restaurants everywhere. The local smell of fish, sometimes a bit unbearable, but that is what one can expect of the West Coast. Lovely little town.

Lovely fishing village with beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Shops have grown and improved. The club house at Shelley Point is great. The current roadworks can cause travel delays and frustrations. There is a, lot of (continual) building going on which can disrupt comfort and peace.

It is a great location--however, travellers should plan their trip accordingly due to several, but not lengthy hold-up with a stop & go as they are resurfacing the roads. The new road will only be completed early 2025.
