On our roadtrip to Botswana we stayed at Marula Cottage Lodge for three nights in total (two on the way to Botswana and one on the way back to the Airport in Johannesburg). We highly recommend staying with Monika and Dave! The Lodge is located in a beautiful quiet area near Thabazimbi. The rooms are comfortable and equipped with everything one could need. We really enjoyed the breakfast and especially the freshly cooked dinners. From the lodge it’s only a short drive to Marakele National Park, which is also worth a visit. Overall we want to thank Monika and Dave for their amazing hospitality, helpful advice and great contribution to our vacation. We hope to be back soon!

A beautiful villa, exactly as advertised. Exceptional location, very clean and comfortable with everything available for a perfect getaway in the bush. The open plan kitchen was great to be able to cook breakfast while watching the game just walking past outside. We had a very friendly Kudu who visited us often during the day, and a family of warthogs with tiny babies was a real treat to see with plenty of photo opportunities.The owner was very welcoming and helpful, I would highly recommend and would definitely return.

The mountain views are the best. We slept in one of the pods. You can also sleep with the blinds open at night, and that makes it feel like you are sleeping under the stars. Also, there were no mosquitos, something we found very interesting.

Thabazimbi Country Lodge offers very neat and comfortable accommodation. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortably furnished. The air conditioner in the room brought wonderful relief from the Bushveld heat. The staff, especially Sosten, were very friendly. He prepared a delicious breakfast for us. Dinner is also served provided it is arranged in advance.

They denied me access and had to sleep in the car despite booking and paying. I drove 42km to and from Thabazimbi cbd only to be turned away saying they don't have my booking. Until now, am not refunded my money that I paid. I will never book at this Lodge again. May you please assist with my refund Thank you

Wow,what a lovely place to spend the night,the hosts were fantastic. They went out of their way to ensure we are comfortable and taken care of. We will definitely visit them again when we are in Thabazimbi.
