Our stay at this villa was nothing short of wonderful. Tucked away in a serene, quiet corner, it felt like the perfect hideaway from Ubud’s usual busyness—yet still close enough to walk to great restaurants and the Alchemy Yoga Centre. It truly offered the best of both worlds. The villa itself was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The room felt airy and calming, the bathroom was generous and well-appointed, and the outdoor living area quickly became one of our favorite spots to unwind. Whether we were enjoying a peaceful morning or relaxing after a day out, the space made everything feel effortless. If you’re looking for a place that offers privacy, comfort, and tranquility while keeping you just moments away from Ubud’s vibrant scene, this villa is a perfect choice. We loved every moment of our stay.

We loved everything about our stay at The Ambengan Villas Ubud. The location was absolutely stunning with beautiful greenery surrounding the property. The room was beautiful, very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The pool and outdoor area were amazing. We booked this last minute and are so so happy we did! The best part about our stay was the staff. Every single staff member was welcoming, caring and friendly. The Ambengan Villas Ubud is owned by Balinese locals who hire local people from the surrounding villages - we love coming and supporting the locals so were very happy to find this out too. Couldn't rate our experience more highly and we will be back for sure.

Everything was so perfect! We had breakfast service in our room, massages and we had so much privacy in our villa. Next time I will book this place for sure just for a longer period. I was treated like a princess in this accomodation and felt like I could live there for the rest of my life!

Super spacious and beautiful villa. Staffs were very friendly and helpful (always greeting us with warm friendly smiles and quick to respond to questions/requests). Overall, the hospitality was great. Most importantly, all facilities were working well and the villa was clean and we didn’t have any issues with insects. Breakfast selection was good too (highly recommend the pancakes). My sister and I are glad we found and chose this villa during our trip to Ubud.

If there was a category for best host, you’d find Nick, the owner of Ikan Villa. Not only was his place gorgeous, he went above and beyond to ensure our stay was very special. He was always on hand to give advice and recommendations as well as help with drivers and local info. He wanted to show us the best Ubud offered. We stayed over New Year and he went as far as to gift us a lovely bottle of Scottish whiskey. The villa is stunning with great air con and we loved the breakfasts too. Top marks!

The staff were friendly and efficient, while the villa owner Maria went out of her way to make sure I had a wonderful stay. That included offering to drive me into town, taking me to see a traditional fire dance and going to the nearby food market. In my personal experience, the villa was better than the pictures showed. Location-wise, a little tucked away from Ubud centre but Grab is readily available and I barely noticed. Instead, I enjoyed being surrounded by the fields. Wifi signal was good. Bathroom was nice and clean. Breakfast was good. I found it to be great value for money. They can arrange pick up from the airport to Ubud which is usually about a two-hour drive. They also own a restaurant in the city centre which was nice to check out.

I was looking for a cozy quiet place to stay away from busy life and computer and I found it! I would definitely come back and stay here again! The host and staff are super friendly.
