Really nice and well equipped apartment and the location was excellent for easy access to the city centre. Had everything we needed for our stay and felt spacious and comfortable with 3 of us in there. (All adult size). It was also very clean and had small touches like complimentary bin bags, washing up liquid (and fans!) etc that really made a huge difference when you don't want to shop for these items. The WiFi was very good too.

Excellent apartment just outside Funchal center! We were very satisfied with our stay. The apartment is brand new and located just 7 minutes by car or taxi from Funchal center. The place was clean, well-equipped, and organized. The hosts were always responsive and communication was excellent throughout our stay. The price was extremely good value for money. The facilities such as the large TV and nicely decorated bathrooms. Also, the outdoor spaces were nice and large. The staff were extremely nice!!! We were not supposed to check in until 15:00, but this was already possible at 13:00. Very nice as we had already landed at 9:00am. The location/route to the house (from the city centre) is a bit steep. But we ordered a Bolt taxi each time for a few euros and then we didn't have to walk uphill for 25 minutes. So that was a really good deal! The house is also very close to the city centre which is very nice! In addition, the view was perfect. There is sea view from 3 rooms. From each balcony there is also sea view. It is also very nice that the bedrooms have such large wardrobes to store your things. In addition, the air conditioning was nice. Not for a moment did I feel cold or too hot. And I've already said it but the staff is really one of the biggest toppers. I have never met such friendly staff at an accommodation as I have at this one.

The house has been recently remodeled, is still very pristine. Everything is planned so carefully and thoughtfully that it feels like a proper home.! We didn’t just use the house for storage and as a place to steep, but truly enjoyed just hanging out there, cooking our meals and stretching on the yoga mats up on the terrace.

The Pirate House was an absolute dream! We were welcomed with a lovely food basket - including bread, milk, sweet specialites from the island and fruits. Such an attentive gesture that made us feel right at home! The view of the ocean is breathtaking and amazed us every single day. The pool area is beautifully designed - surrounded by banana trees and palm trees, cozy and perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking. The interior of the house is tasteful and decorated with great attention to detail (Togo Chairs!! and beautiful beds). Everything you need is there and you can feel the love and care that went into every corner. The location is fantastic: short walk to the center and many amazing restaurants. Thanks to the wonderful recommendations from the owner, we discovered some real culinary gems.
