This is the best place we have stayed so far in Sri Lanka! The couple who own it are so friendly and helpful. They welcomed us with a delicious passionfruit juice which we could enjoy in the beautiful garden. It’s so peaceful here, and you can see peacocks and varan lizards roaming around. The cabana is really nice and comfortable. The bed is comfy and the AC works. The bathroom was very spacious and everything was clean. There is even a fridge in the room which was handy. We also did our safari through them and Gayan was an amazing and very knowledgeable guide! Breakfast is also great. If we ever return to Sri Lanka we will definitely come back here!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Neem Tree House, nestled in the heart of nature near a serene lake. The house itself is beautifully designed with a charming garden and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. Our host Anusha was incredibly attentive and made every day special. From the thoughtful touches to the warm hospitality, it felt like staying with family. The local surroundings were peaceful and full of life, with animals roaming freely and a nearby pool perfect for cooling down on hot days. The house offered great comfort and a unique blend of local character and modern convenience. It was a highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka and truly a place to recharge and enjoy the beauty of everyday life. We highly recommend Neem Tree House to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay in Yala. It’s a place where nature, comfort, and kindness come together beautifully.

Lovely and relaxed decor, grounds, pool area and open air restaurant. A great place to unwind after Yala safari. We did the full day safari organised by Richard’s cabanas at it was amazing. We saw leopards, sloth bears, jackals, elephants and many more. The full day allowed us to relax and enjoy all the different animals in the park away from other vehicles and included a tasty picnic during the mid-day break. Highly recommend doing the full day with Richard’s cabanas if you have time. We stayed 2 nights at Richard’s and could easily stay another just to hang out and soak up the atmosphere.
