The place was timeless, it was a great time close to T's family. We loved our few days at the farm, we were able to go cycling and make handmade soaps. It's a good way to get off the beaten track and experience Vietnam in a different way. We loved it and we will be back!

Mekong Delta Ricefield Lodge is gelegen in Can Tho met uitzicht op de tuin en heeft een restaurant, een gedeelde lounge, bar, tuin, buitenzwembad dat het hele jaar door open is en terras. Heel mooie en rustige locatie!! Eigenaar van de lodge is een grappige, vriendelijke (nogal directe😊) Duitser die ons bij aankomst direct vers fruit en een vruchtendrankje gaf wat heel lekker was!!! Nadien daar een diner gekregen wat we overheerlijk vonden👌!!! Volgende ochtend om 5u nam hij ons mee op zijn boot op de rivier voor de verassende drijvende markten waar we lekkere soep en koffie kregen als ontbijt!! Hij ging helemaal tot in Can Tho en op de plaatsen waar het kon drijfden hij de snelheid van zijn boot wel op wat echt plezant was!!! Een echte aanrader voor iedereen dus!!

We stayed two nights at Bentre Coco Lodge and it was amazing. The host Thai gave us great recommendations for what to do around here. He also did all the booking, including the boat tour and the trip back to Saigon. We also took the free bikes and rode around, truly great experience. The food at the stay tasted great. I recommend you try the coconut ice coffee, great stuff. Very friendly and welcoming host. Family owned. Lots of smiles. Highly recommend, 10/10

The couple that runs this place is golden-- they are hardworking and sincerely nice. They do their best for you. Duc, the husband, and I talked about all of the havoc wreaked by the US on this land (I'm American), and consequently, his family, and despite it all he showed no ill will towards me or my country. He is interested in politics and can tell stories about the land, the history, etc. He also helped me organize my bus trip from Saigon. The bus station was small and easy to find. The bus had A/C and the driving was fine. There is a water filter system so no plastic bottles (AMAZING!). The bungalow is great-- the two beds were both perfectly supportive but not hard or soft. The sheets were excellent quality cotton (I'm a snob). There were creatures that you could hear at night on the roof, but not one tiny insect was inside my cabin. The bathroom smelled a little like mothballs, I assume to avert insects. Breakfast was varied-- eggs or soup on the two days I was there, plus fruit, coffee, tea, bread, or --for me-- something gluten free. The free bikes were great! Some were not in perfect condition, but there were so many, you could just take a different one. I took the 6 hour boat tour, which was interesting! We saw how rope was made from coconut and went to a coconut candy place, did some bike riding. In my opinion, there could have been more stops to break up the monotony of the boat ride, but what we saw was unique. Overall, excellent! I've stayed in many village type homestays, and there are always small issues. This one ranks high!

Wat een fantastische week hebben wij hier gehad. Super ligging. Heerlijk resort aan zee met zwembaden. Het restaurant op het resort (The Spice House) was echt super, wij zijn de hele week het resort niet afgeweest (behalve om naar Sunset Town te gaan). Het ontbijt was uitmuntend; het beste ontbijt buffet van onze reis. Het aanbod rouleerde elke dag. De kamer was ook top!
