The hotel also offers a seasonal outdoor swimming pool. Staying here was truly a memorable experience, made even better by the outstanding staff who went above and beyond to accommodate us. I was in Lucerne to compete in the Swiss City Marathon, and they graciously prepared an early breakfast to fit my race schedule. Edith at reception was incredibly thoughtful, taking time to calm my nerves and ensuring I had everything I needed for the big day. It was the kind of personal touch that’s rare to find and so appreciated. The hotel’s onsite restaurant and Bistro were constantly buzzing with patrons, a clear indication of their popularity. Although we didn’t get a chance to dine in this time, we’ll definitely be trying them on our next visit. With service and atmosphere this exceptional, we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in Lucerne!

The family-run Seehotel Gotthard in Weggis on the shore of Lake Lucerne, 25 km from Lucerne, offers 2 restaurants, a pizzeria, a bistro and rooms with scenic views and free WiFi. In the summer months guest enjoy free access to the heated outdoor pool of the neightbouring hotel Beau Rivage. I originally planned to stay in Lucerne, but I chose Weggis instead for three nights — and I’m so glad I did. Just half an hour from Lucerne by ferry, Weggis offers a calm and peaceful atmosphere with breathtaking lake views. Perfectly situated right on the lake, with Mount Rigi station within walking distance. From there, you can take the gondola (cable car) and then the classic train up to Mount Rigi — an unforgettable experience. The room was spotless, with a balcony overlooking the lake. Waking up to that view was magical. Hotel provide me guest card which was use free for cable car and Rigi train trip. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, guiding me to sightseeing options. Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared. The ferry rides across the lake were stunning, and every moment in Weggis felt relaxing and rejuvenating. I will definitely return to Seehotel Gotthard Hotel with my family on my next visit. Weggis was a true gem and a great find — peaceful, scenic, and unforgettable.

Boutique-Hotel Schlüssel is 10 km away from Lucerne and close to 13 different ski areas. Beautiful location and very peaceful. The room was clean and comfortable. Shower was amazing for our top floor attic room. Breakfast was wonderful as was the dining experience. Highly recommend.

The Lubo - self check-in is located in the center of the city of Lucerne in the historic old town and only a 10-minute walk from Lucerne main station and just 200 metres from the shores of Lake Lucerne, the Chapel Bridge, and the closest bus stop. Free WiFi is available. It was newly opened in December 2022 and is a fully automated boutique hotel with flexible room access with mobile key. Neat and clean, near by train station, and safety is really good.
