Casa de Caldelas is a restored 18th-century building located in the historic village of O Castro de Caldelas, 45 km from Ourense. Its stylish rooms have balconies overlooking the main square and castle. The hotel is more like a boutique hotel. All details are well taken care of. We were given an ample attic room, that was very comfortable, with all amenities well working. The room was crystal clear, breakfast is served in the bar nearby, and is quite good and fulfilling (with excellent home made bica). Easy parking around. There's a wonderful common area with sofa and armchairs at first floor, and paintings hanging from the walls are so artistic, we loved every moment of our stay. The staff is extremely welcoming, little English spoken though. Would recommend this hotel hands down.

I will certainly repeat if I can.

Convento de San Benito is a restored convent, set in the pretty Galician fishing port of A Guarda. The spacious rooms all have a french balcony, a minibar and a safe.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout. There is a bar and a relaxing lounge with an open fire. There is also a garden with a fountain. What an absolutely beautiful property right down on the harbor! Hotel Monumento is a lovely restored convent with so many historical pieces and artifacts. Our room was impeccably clean, with a super comfortable bed and very nice linens. The staff were so very kind and gracious- it was just a very very nice stay!

Housed in a former merchant's house, dating from the eighteenth century, the Hotel Rolle boasts spacious and tranquil rooms, with traditional-style interior decor, including wooden beams in the ceilings and stone walls. The owners were so helpful. The breakfast was good. I had an injury so they gave extra pillows and set up an early breakfast for us in the lobby the morning I had an early hospital appointment. The attic room was cosy with skylights and plants. I would stay again.

The owner has sensitively restored the old stone building, retaining its ancient stonework and restoring exposed and time-blackened wooden beams. The guest rooms are simply but comfortably decorated, each with a small private bathroom with shower. It also exhibits many great paintings by celebrated artists such as Miró and Tàpies. I've been greeted by one of the most attentive and charming receptionist I came across in recent years. She recommended a couple of local events taking place that evening, anticipated some of the things I might need for the next day and did it all with the brightest smile and warmest approach. The overall design of the room / hotel was very nice, sending you back in time for the time you were there.

The front desk staff gave us directions to the important old town spots so we were able to see most of it in our one day there.
