Pension Jokura ligger i Hakodate, 6,5 km fra Goryokaku Park og 6,8 km fra Goryōkaku. Dette pensionat har 2 stjerner samt værelser med aircondition, gratis wi-fi og et fælles badeværelse. This was a highlight of our trip after staying mostly in business hotels. The hosts are lovely people who do their best to make you feel welcome during your stay, even if it's only for one night. The house is also filled with knickknacks that give it a cosy and personal feel. Shared bathroom and toilet, but everything is really clean and well maintained. And it's located right by Motomachi, really close to the sights of Hakodate.

JR Inn Asahikawa åbner i marts 2015 og har enkel indkvartering og er direkte forbundet med JR Asahikawa Station. Der er et offentligt bad og mulighed for på stedet. Great location next to the station, clean and spacious room, friendly staff. Shower and toilet separated in different rooms. Bed was firm and comfortable, plus a seating area in the room. Bigger than most rooms I've stayed in Japan.
