Hakone Suimeiso bevindt zich op 3 minuten wandelen van het station Hakone Yumoto en op 15 minuten wandelen van de Sounji- tempel. Top locatie, super ervaring in deze ryokan! Heel vriendelijk personeel. Locatie is 10/10! Diner was goed. Wij raden deze accommodatie ten zeerste aan. Boek een kamer met een eigen bad, het was heerlijk met het geluid en uitzicht van de waterval! We hadden ook nog op de 6e etage het privé bad gehuurd voor 50 minuten; ook heel leuk om te doen, water was wel echt SUPER warm!

When reviewing a stay like this, you need a bit of perspective. You book a 100+ year old Japanese Ryokan, so you expect some things to be a bit "different". It's the whole point. And Fukuzumiro did not dissappoint. First: The building is GORGEOUS, using real wood everywhere (Please look at the size of some of the floor panels!). Our room had a view of the river, with the colours of the changing leaves painting a scene straight out of a Ghibli Anime. Again, because it's old, you can hear a lot, which means we could hear the soothing white noise from the river. Does it get cold? A little, between the rooms. Our room had heaters, and a heated blanket. They are getting five stars from me, but it's something to keep in mind. Second: the ONSEN! Well, it's amazing... very hot! Had no problem booking plenty of private baths. Third: The FOOD! AMAZING. It's one of the only Ryokans with Kaiseki that happily accomodated me and my wife, as we are vegetarians. Vegetarian food is rare in Japan, and I accept that I am missing an aspect of the culture because of my diet... but not here: they didn't just serve food, they really tried to give us the experience! I can't be thankful enough. Fourth, last but not least: The SERVICE! Outstanding! Our host was Onozawa-san and he was so helpful, very nice, lively, genuinely kind, and as a bonus (to us)-- he speaks good English. I don't think I've ever had better service. Ever. TL;DR: It's an old traditional japanese inn: if you can deal with a bit of "discomfort", you will have a magical time on what feels like a Studio Ghibli film. Especially if you are vegetarian.

Laforet Club Hakone Gora Yunosumika heeft natuurlijke warmwaterbronnen en beschikt over kamers met een moderne of traditioneel Japanse inrichting. In 1 woord GEWELDIG!!! Alles! De kamer was meer dan geweldig mooi, de private onsen op de kamer was fantastisch, het uitzicht was magisch. De traditionele kleding was leuk om mee te maken en we hadden een heerlijk diner. Ik had nog wel een nacht langer om dit hotel willen blijven. Echt een aanrader om bij te tanken en te ontspannen!

I enjoy in the bar with different kinds of drinks with your own choice of making.The food was great both breakfast and dinner with nama beer.There is a near convenience store.Onsen was also good with free icedrop after taking a bath.Spacious room.We would love to visit here again❤️

Villa Sacra is ideaal gelegen op slechts 3 minuten lopen van het station JR Kamakura en biedt unieke designaccommodatie in samenwerking met diverse kunstenaars. De zeer hartelijke ontvangst zowel door de manager als nadien door de night staff! Super lieve mensen. Wij gaan zeker terug als we nog eens naar kamakura gaan. Heel charmant huis van ongeveer 100 jaar oud. Dit kan gevolgen hebben voor lawaai blijkbaar als elke kamer vol is maar wij waren alleen en hebben daar uiteraard geen last van gehad. Super fijne plek. En net de charme van het oude huis maakte het voor ons heel bijzonder. S morgens vroeg hoorden we iemand lustig fluiten. Ik denk dat dit de messenslijper was in het aansluitend pand. Dit gaf ons verblijf nog wat extra charme. Wij vonden het zalig en gezellig!
