Karuizawa Prince Hotel boasts 3 dining options, a large-scale shopping mall with 240 shops, hot-spring・open-air baths and a steam sauna facility, various golf courses and on-site ski slopes. The room was nice. Two couples and each had separate bathroom. The cabin gave us time to spend together and planned the next few days itinerary. The location was 7 minutes away from the mall, so even when we didn't book dinner, the staff told us that we could head to the mall to have dinner. The mall was decorated with Xmas decor, very romantic. It was fun to walk there and somehow it had firework on Saturday evening, what a surprise. Note: food court closed at 7:00 pm sharp. The facility is beautiful for us and had different wildlife to observe. We all had a great time!

Het Tokonamiso ligt in een bos en biedt een toevluchtsoord in de natuur met kamers in Japanse stijl, barbecuefaciliteiten en gratis WiFi in de lobby. I loved the location !! In the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature and silence. But to get there you have to catch the last shuttle bus at 17:10 sharp, it doesn’t wait and you have to be on driver’s list ( means you have to reserve the seat first writing a message to the hotel staff). It stops at Parking 1. Rooms are quite large and spacious, our had a toilet and a sink at the entrance, tatami beds and a huge window overlooking the forest 😍😍😍 green tea and coffee are provided, you can also buy cup ramen at the reception of Fuji no Mori hotel, but there is nothing else to eat there. We could use onsen that was situated in the sister hotel Fuji no Mori, it’s 2 min walk, and it was gorgeous!!!! They also have open air onsen. In the morning the same shuttle bus can take you back to Tsumago or to Nagiso.

Izumiya Zenbe is een historische accommodatie in Japanse stijl met een chique ambiance. Het is gevestigd in 1876 en beschikt over verschillende warmwaterbronnen, zowel binnen als buiten. Traditioneel japans verblijf, lekker eten vriendelijk personeel. Onsen was ook zeer aangenaam.
