Oyado Koto No Yume ligt op slechts 2 minuten wandelen van het Station Takayama en biedt kamers in Japanse stijl met een kleurrijk tintje. The room was great, quite a typical ryokan room but it also had a bath in the room which is not something you find everywhere. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the station which was important because we had quite a bit of luggage, and one of the main reasons I picked it. It was also a convenient walk to the rest of the town and the morning market. The staff were friendly and helped us with the evening meals around at nearby restaurants. We also enjoyed the hotel breakfast on our last day which for us was a local selection that includes their famous hida beef. It was quite a big breakfast and very delicious.

Beautiful rooms that really give you the feeling of being in Japan, very nice owners, I loved how they served a pot of matcha tea on arrival. They put a lot of love into this place and it really shows. The location is very good as well, close to the old neighbourhood and the morning market. Definitely the best stay we had in Japan, if not ever.

Located in the centre of Takayama Historic District, Ryokan Tanabe 旅館田邊 is one of the most historical ryokans in the city. It features Japanese-style rooms and free WiFi in all areas. everything was perfect and exciting. if I can suggest a small "sweet" breakfast for western tourists :)

Situated at the heart of historic Takayama Old Town and just steps away from Takayama Jinya Morning Market, the traditional Honjin Hiranoya Kachoan offers personalised hospitality, hot spring baths... Het is een heel mooi hotel. Esthetisch en tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Het personeel is aardig en zeer behulpzaam. Wij hadden een ruime tot grote kamer (suite). Heerlijk. De locatie was ook heel goed.

Het stijlvolle AKARI et KAORI, voorheen Taizanso, is ontworpen door Shinji Kagawa en ligt op 10 minuten rijden van het treinstation Shuzenji. Staff were very welcoming. Room was large and very comfortable. The onsens were excellent and not crowded. The dinner and breakfast that were included were supreme. Some of the best Japanese food we’ve tasted.

The Meitetsu Grand Hotel offers bright rooms with free WiFi, 3 restaurants and a sky lounge café with panoramic city views. Excellent location, staff was very attentive

It locates very close to Nagoya station to which you have direct access from the airport. And there are rental car stations near the hotel too. It is one of the best hotels for tourists who need easy access to trains / airlines / cars.

Het Chaya Hotel ligt op slechts 40 meter van Magome-Juku, een gerestaureerd poststadje uit het Edo-tijdperk. Het biedt eenvoudige traditionele kamers met futonbedden en tatami-matten op de vloer. Eten en heel vriendelijk personeel! Niets was te veel!
