The kitchen was spotless and well equipped. The room was also comfortable. A great location close to town, coast and penguins!

Featuring a beautiful garden setting, the Settlers Cottage Motel is a 5-minute walk from the historic town centre of Arrowtown and a 20-minute drive from Queenstown. From the minute I arrived, Jayne couldn't have been more welcoming. Her enthusiasm and energy is a breath of fresh air. The room's decor lives up to the "olde worlde charm" that is advertised, but so often that is a euphemism for "old and tired" - not in this case! Everything was spick and span, beautifully presented and so very welcoming. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and despite arriving after a 36 hour trip from Barcelona, I didn't have a jot of jet lag after the deepest sleep of my adult life. The property itself is located just a short stroll from the centre of Arrowtown (although it should be noted there is a short hill - perfectly manageable for any able-bodied people, but worth mentioning for people who may not be as mobile). So a perfect location for discovering the town, and for hiking into the hills. Highly recommended property, and I will be back on my next trip to Arrowtown. Thanks Jayne!
