We loved the location of the hotel, very close to Funchal, bus station is just across the street, although we mainly walked and also rented a car to get to the other side of the island that’s not very frequently connected by bus. It was the perfect choice that we reserved a room in Golden residence hotel!!!! Everything was amazing, staff is always cleaning and taking care of the hotel, everybody is very welcoming and warm:) I would also like to say that if you are a breakfast lover, just book this hotel, because OH MY LORD!!! THE BREAKFAST IS PHENOMENAL!!!!:))) You have everything to choose from (even chia pudding for all of us healthy food freaks out there:)), all kinds of fruit, veggies, breads, yoghurt, milk, cereals, pancakes, eggs in like 4 ways, baked beans, baked tomatoes, different homemade cakes and jams, nuts, seeds,….you name it- they have it all!!! 😝So to sum up, we were indeed very very happy with our stay (WE WILL BE COMING BACK FOR SURE!) and very sad that after 15 days of staying there, we had to go back home:) So don’t think twice, just book this amazing hotel and you will guaranteed have the most amazing time in Madeira☺️

The unit also includes a fitness centre and a snack-bar. Manuel met us when we arrived and showed us the property. The property is amazing! The views from our room were stunning! Our room was very clean and comfortable. They provided an awesome breakfast each morning. I would stay here again if I return to the island. I highly recommend staying here.
