The apartment was stylish, spacious and well furnished, the bathroom was clean and comfy, but things that made our stay exceptional was an amazing Spanish girl from the front desk, who was very friendly, helpful, she introduced us to the facilities of the hotel, informed us about surroundings, the city, recommended the bar on the top floor with an amazing view. We were also able to check-in earlier since our room was ready. I really appreciate the hotels that has check-out at the hour that doesn’t force guests to set an alarm in a phone, and The StandardX is one of them (human-friendly hotel) - standard check-out is at 12:00. Really recommend that place!

The apartment is perfect for couples travelling or looking for longer periods of stay. The staff very very friendly and helpful, and the apartment itself was very spacious and accommodated every need. I stayed here for just under 2 months. The apartment was exactly what I was looking for and it’s a perfect base in the very cool neighbourhood of Fitzroy (and extremely close to the CBD / central parks). Don’t be put off by negative reviews on here, you’re getting what is advertised, a basic apartment. I would highly recommend to anybody looking for a base to work/explore Melbourne
