Sasha, the host, is the best. Very kind, responsive, and helpful. Twice, I asked her for support, and she was there in less than 3 minutes! The location is amazing. Right in the middle of the action, the liveliest street of Santo Antonio, but quiet. Also, it was spotless clean.

LOCATION The apartment is in the heart of Pelourinho, approx. half way along the main walking street. Everything you need around here is within the walking distance. Supermarket next door. Plenty of bars and restaurants within 50m. Still insulated from the noise since it's not facing the main street. SAFETY I felt very safe along the main stretch of streets, both by day and night. During the day even smaller side streets. Just be clever and you'll be fine. APARTMENT The apartment is bright and airy, and has a lovely balcony. Ample of space. It was very clean. Washing machine was handy. As was a standing fan. Not sure if it'd be sufficient in summer heat though. HOST Cremilda and family are simply wonderful human beings. I felt welcome at all times. WIFI Excellent. VALUE Exceptional value for what it is. OVERALL 10/10 and I'd come back again, even for a long stay.

Certainly not the best or cleanest accommodation in El Salvador. But it has a genius loci, a great owner who will give you all the information, personally show you bars and restaurants in the area. Excellent breakfast on the terrace overlooking the ocean. I really loved it here and if I come again I will be here again. Greetings to everyone at Villa Carmo from Martin.

I really liked this hostel. It's a small, bohemian house — charming, with lovely decor and a beautiful garden. The location is excellent. The owner, Dani, is very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely stay here again, when i am around.
