The Elbcottage is a labour of love and it shows in every detail. The kitchen is well appointed and everything you might need is provided. Coffee machine, Nespresso machine and water kettle. A starter stock for the Nespresso machine is also available. Towels are plentiful and more provided if needed. The beds are very comfortable and pillows in all sizes available. The amenities are Molton Brown and set the tone of the standard in this lovely cottage. Even a shoe horn and a shoe polishing cloths has been thought of. Parking is available in the street and the S-Bahn station a 10 minutes walk away. The little village is just a hop and step from the door and has Pharmacies, Bakeries, a small supermarket, Cafes and a well frequented ice cream shop. There are also several restaurants. Busses go down to the ferry Teufelsbrueck from the main street.

I've had an absolutely fantastic stay here! The staff went above and beyond, and exceeded all expectations: they were kind enough to inform guests about possible road/transport closures way in advance, and kindly warmed up my very own meals. The place itself is straight from a fairy tale, being located in a mansion in a picturesque and peaceful part of the city, you cannot believe, you are a few stations away from the rustle and bustle of Hamburg. Yes, it is not very central, but if you ended up here, you probably know it already. Comfortable beds, huge bathroom. You get access to hot water/tea and there's always fresh fruit on offer. The rooms on top floors have an adjacent balcony, which is an absolute blast, especially in good weather.

This hotel is an absolute gem! Philip and Claudius were the perfect hosts. I was staying for only one night after having been to a concert, I wish I could have stayed longer and shall do on my next sojourn to Hamburg.

This boutique hotel is directly located in Hamburg city centre, a 1-minute walk from the Neuer Wall shopping street and a 5-minute walk from the Jungfernsteig.

The location is very close to the Jungfernstieg which is a lovely walking and shopping area. The room is exceptional. Bathrobes and slippers are provided, and the little extras like a shoe polishing cloth. We have to leave early in the morning, before 7am, and we were able to make cappuccinos in the bar area near reception which was a welcome start to the day. The valet parking process was smooth, helpful and immediate. We couldn't have been happier.
