The location was great. As a solo female traveler, I always look for well-located, safe, well-lit, with good food/market/stores/public transportation nearby. This place checked all the boxes. The staff was very nice and helpful. Although they don’t have breakfast, they provide cute snack pack for your day and have a communal fridge and coffee/tea. Maga was wonderful, on the first day she gave me a very helpful introduction to the city using a map and gave me great recommendations. They also provide self-guided walking tours. They even kindly contacted me when I left something behind. The details really made it a great stay.

Very nice location just 10 minutes from Plaza Catalunya with many options for brunch, cafes and food nearby. Friendly and helpful staff, nice quiet room with comfortable beds and nice bathroom. There's an elevator and no stairs in the hotel entry so it is also ideal for people with moving disabilities. Definitely recommended.

Olivia Balmes Hotel was absolutely perfect. Every single interaction with the team was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The hotel has all the thoughtful extras and fabulous amenities you want when travelling, and the rooms are spacious, quiet, and incredibly relaxing. The location is perfect. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, sights, and the metro, with a steady supply of taxis right outside which made getting around really easy. In all my trips to Barcelona, this is the best hotel I’ve stayed in and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone. It manages to feel tailored to adults while still being welcoming and easy with little kids, which is so rare. Usually when I book something “family friendly” I end up somewhere grim, but not this time! The rooftop pool was such a treat in the heat. Bonus points for the mojitos, they were exceptional. All the staff were fantastic, but a special shout out to Waleed who was just pure sunshine every time we saw him. Loved our stay. Thank you!

I believe this is one of the best hostels in the city, and this is evidenced primarily by its overall rating. I'll start with the location, located in the center of the Eixample district, in one of the 8-gonal rectangles, a 15-minute walk from the Sagrada, Casa Mila, Casa Battlo. There is a metro station and a bus stop nearby, you can get anywhere. The staff inside was top-notch, friendly and polite. The room was clean, comfortable, the lockers were spacious, the bed was large, the bed linen was made, the mattresses were comfortable, and even the duvet cover was in flowers, a reference to the name of the hostel, it’s really always spring there. A spacious lounge area with guitars, a kitchen with everything for cooking, breakfast for 4 € (as of January 2024). Bathroom/toilet were clean, gel shampoo was available in the showers. It was a pleasure to return to this hostel after a busy day in the city.
