This was one of those surprisingly outstanding properties that you rarely come across. The area seemed a little on the dodgy side, but we didn't have any issues with safety. The building was secure and the apartment secure as well.
Our host went above and beyond in terms of communication and in making us feel welcome. This included a lovely little welcome note in the kitchen, with a few little snacks for us. The dining table was impeccably set and the kitchen had all the facilities you'd want plus more. The washer dryer made it really feel like home for us, as we have a similar one at home (and it's so much more convenient to do the laundry when you don't have to take out the clothes to dry them).
The beds were amazingly comfortable, with the pillows feeling lush and the blanket weighted just right. Even the pull out sofa bed was wonderfully comfortable! Each of the three bedrooms had a double bed.
There are two showers - one on the floor where the bedrooms are, and one upstairs in the full bathroom. There is also a separate toilet (and sink) upstairs, which is handy when it's a family and there's more than one of you that need to use the facilities!
Wi-fi worked perfectly and Netflix was available (without needing your own account). And the decor throughout the property was stylish with everything matching.
The stairs are all carpeted and the carpet is new; Actually, everything in the apartment was brand new and very modern.
Oh - and because our host knew that kids would be staying, they made sure that there were games available to play! Now that's going above and beyond!
The property is located close to the Stepney Green train station, which we used often. It's also within walking distance of Whitechapel station, which we also used. There are plenty of places to eat on the main road, around the corner from the property.
